Put it in a weapon trap to improve some noble's room value drastically. While odd material artifact weapons were plenty useful in 40d and earlier, they are all but useless in 0.31 now that it actually takes the material's properties into account.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

According to the wiki and Word of Toady, artifact weapons are simply weapons that are as sharp as possible (for the material), so, in other words, no better than ☼masterful☼. And bone is still crap, I would guess... maybe turn it into a trap so people can admire it?

It does get a better roll to hit tho. Armor is somewhat better too, it gets a better roll to deflect (*3 instead of *2, whatever that means).

Hey, an Artifact Bone Axe is plain cool. It deserves to be used just for that purpose.

Useless artifact weapons can go in weapon traps, which can massively boost the value of the room they are in. Even moreso if you build the weapon trap using an artifact mechanism.

Useful artifact weapons, like an adamantine battle axe, are better used by your military.
