No migrants and no booze

Hey
I haven't had any migrants for 2 seasons now, those being summer and autumn second year. I got 2 waves in summer and autumn of the first year and a huge wave in spring of second, but no more. I looked at the civilization screen and for some reason the dwarf outpost liaison has disappeared.

EDIT: Also, for some reason, whenever I tell my stills to make booze, the brewer goes to the still with the ingredient and leaves immediately. I might have queued up 10 orders and they all just disappear, no drinks made.

I guess the size of the next wave depends on your exported wealth, which is the profit that the caravans make.
I looked at the civilization screen and for some reason the dwarf outpost liaison has disappeared.

Look on your unit list. I'm pretty sure he's somewhere there, probably marked as deseased  :P
If not, he probably died on his way to your fort or back to the mountainhomes. I don't know if you're going to get a new one...

No event in the 'a' screen? Like "cannot brew drink because blah"?
If you are playing 31.12 you should get a new liaison.

And no, nothing in announcements... it's annoying. I'm trying various things such as reconstructing, nothing seems to work though. I activated plant gathering recently, could this have anything to do with it?

Try setting up your manager noble, and add the Brew Drink commands via that. Hopefully you will get a status message about what the problem is.

Not if he switched that announcement off.

Migrants coming in summer and spring is only common in the first year - typically they only come in spring.
