I watched a couple of episodes of the Quantum Leap reboot. That was enough for me.
First episode culminated with the pacifist/nerd character punching the bad guy in the face in order to safely and easily incapacitate him with a single blow. Then he disposed of the bomb by throwing it in the sewer, ran to a safe distance, and he still felt the need to do a superman-dive away from the controlled explosion far behind him. At this point I've got a pretty good idea of what kind of show this is going to be.
The first episode also set up a halfway interesting mystery, where the main character started acting in an unexpected manner, breaking into his office and reprogramming his computers for no apparent reason. Now, it's a time travel show, so it's pretty obvious to me that this is a future version of him with motives we have not yet learned about; weirdly none of the other characters seem to pick up on this. Still, I'm mildly curious to find out what's going on, so I watch a second episode. The second episode is a completely self-contained arc, and it's now apparent to me that the rest of this show is going to be like this, only returning to the main arc in the finale. And yeah, watching a bunch of short stories full of poorly executed cliches just to eventually get back to something I barely care about...nope. Two episodes and I'm done.
