So, the people at the CS forum need some more players for that four team galaxy on the front page.
Its a premium galaxy, and they dont mind paying extra to fit us nonpremiums in. It would hardly be fair, but it doesnt seem like they're going to pull through with the current number of players.
http://cosmicsupremacy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=5686&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=1As of right now, they need exactly 4 players for the 4th team. Im not too fond of playing two galaxies, but it should start near the end of Galaxy 106, if its a typical galaxy.
Finely, due to game mechanics, they cant start us off in four teams in our own little corners, so there are some rules that you will have to follow, even though the game itself wont enforce it.
Rules as of now:
These rules are NOT meant to be exhaustive or detailed. They strive only to set down a few house rules and define ways in which to deal with problems if and when they arise.
Please check in any questions you have at the forum. 'I didn't know' is NOT an excuse, and you and your team may be penalized even if these rules mention nothing about whatever course of action you have taken.
This is a gentleman game with gentleman rules - but that doesn't mean we necessarily trust any claims of good intentions.
1) This galaxy might be preceded over by a 'Galactic Counsil' of 3-4 members.
These members are: Nongolf, Skinny, Mizzihood, Huntress.
Before the galaxy starts, it is up to the Galactic Counsil to fairly distribute all players between 4 teams. Each team may not have more than 1 member of the Galatic Counsil.
2) During the first 100 turns, any and all hostilities are strictly forbidden. First combat may take place between turn 100 and 101. These 100 turns will be referenced as 'start phase', or simply 'the start'.
3) Members of the same team must immediately enter a Military Alliance upon meeting for the first time. This diplomatic status must remain unchanged for the duration of the galaxy.
3a) Likewise, players must immediately declare war upon members of other teams as soon as possible, and this diplomatic status may not change for the duration of the galaxy.
3b) There can be no form of cooperation or aide between any of the teams or their members. This includes sharing of information, giving out resources and any form of interaction not befitting a state of war.
4) All teams have designated identifiers, and all members of a team must attach this identifyer to the name of their empire. Consider this a form of uniform.
Teams pick their own identifier.
Examples:
Bobo of the Berserkers
Idiot Boy of the Berserkers
Mavrick MrIncognito
Mavrick michael dew
5) All participants in the galaxy should strive to log on to the forum regularly, so as to facilitate discussion and solving of problems (e.g. interpretation of these rules).
6) Players and/or teams in breach of these rules may be suitably and proportionally penalized as decided on the forum by the other teams in unison.
7) If these rules are questioned and/or no clear decision can be reached at the forum, the decision of the Galactic Counsil prevails. Failing even that, Nongolf rules all!
8 ) The game ends when 2 out of 3 active players have stated such wish on the forum. At that point Erwin will be asked to end the Galaxy as soon as possible, and scoring will be determined as for a regular galaxy.
So, anyone up to forming a Bay12 team and getting our butts kicked? At the very least, we would get to try out the premium features. Oh, and if you do sign up, please make sure you will be active, they are paying for us to be in that galaxy, after all.
