If you think logically, a megabeast will not be hauling a chest with him at all times. Now can he have a magically wonderful piece of item on him somewhere? Sure I can see that.

I imagine it would be more like one of the creatures bones or something imbued with magical powers, that would be cool.

Mimics are actually a cool idea, now that we have much more control over items.

Is it possible to make it so that one can make a monster drop multiple items.

You could always try multiple [ITEMCORPSE] tags - at best, multiple items. At worst, purring maggot civilizations.

I tried but it isn't. I was trying to make the chest be aquatic, no stance, slow speed etc but it still WALKS!!! It walks slowly tho but still....

...

EDIT: I'm back, with bad news...

It durn't work, sirs. You can only have one [ITEMCORPSE] tag per creature entry. Phooey.

You could just try copying the cave blob RAWs and editing them as you see fit - to my knowledge cave blobs don't move. Otherwise, did you try and take away it's legs and arms at all?

Easy workaround. Custom reaction that uses a unique ITEMCORPSE item, and gets several items out of it. You can make monsters drop a chest, then have a "chest opening" reaction.

Ah, neverwouldathunkit. Thank'ee kindly, Patchouli! It would be awesome for my planned idea of animated armor men, but I'll just wait for adventure mode reactions to be debugged.

Really? That's the only way? That seems a bit silly to me, but I guess if it's the only alternative, it'll have to do.

I dunno if it's the only way, but it's definitely one of the easier ways to pop it in.

Give it a huge speed and add IMMOBILE_LAND.

They will still move around but very slowly.

You can make creature to drop items only when butchered, and then you can add a lot.

Or make it to drop a "chest" and make a lockpicker's workshop which "opens chests".
