Doesn't there have to be an interim evolution anyways, though? I thought if you tried to, for instance, evolve a L50 squirtle when it hits L51 it'd still evolve into Wartortle for a level before hitting Blastoise at 52. Or maybe that was changed in Emerald?

I like Gallade more. 

Indeed. I use one on a Double Battles team with a Medicham so that it can Roleplay medicham's ability, Pure Power, before having a Choice Scarf tricked onto it. It decimates entire teams by itself.

Well, I beat the Elite Four and Wallace, but because I'm on an emulator and it refuses to acknowledge real saves and that the game autosaves and resets when you win, I can't actually progress PAST the Elite Four because it says my game is corrupted. So here's my team from before I faced Wallace. Manectric got another level mid-battle but it would be the same otherwise.
