Update 21: Religious Allegories
Recap: In the last update, Big Stu wandered through the Desert of Route 111.

Fallarbor Town….for the fifth time or so.

Back to Route 114

And Meteor Falls!

Also, hopping down pools of purple goo!

The other side of Meteor Falls is here, exiting onto Route 115. Route 115 is north of Rustboro City.

What he didn’t remember was that Esteban hit him with a brick on his forehead.

Two possessed/insane people in a double battle!

And that’s all. It was a very short route.

Shhh…narrators aren’t supposed to be here.

What will the EGG hatch into? Find out next update!

Just kidding!

Fun fact: Wynaut’s Japanese name sounds similar to Japanese for “really?”, while Wobbuffet sounds like “That’s the way it is”.

O’Reilly is promptly dumped into the box.

Off to see a certain scientist…

Yeah, whatever.

YES! Why would I be here?

This had better not be a scam…

Hm, suspicious.

Route 116!

Moggo levels up after driving most of the local wildlife to extinction!

A cicada!

Caught at full health!

What an imaginative name!

Much later…

“And lo, a NINJASK burst forth; and the world was in awe”

“Unseen, the spent shell crept into the shadows…”

Hey guess what?

It’s about time!

What did you think it was, a raptor?

Classy.

Anyway, there’s a reason why these things went extinct.

Pointless sidequest: Achieved!

Really Azzuro, I'm doubting you didn't release Wolf. Also I never found a way to level up the stupid Lobster, hope you do. Although I was level to level up my weird Terodactyl thing in FireRed, and I think that a giant dinosaur eating the competition than a lobster or a plant hitting the competition.

I hate the twins.
Me too. I've always been hating how they completely heal One of their Pokemon before I could take it down.

I find that it's really easy to beat them if you brought along a Sceptile or Swampert. Of course, Blaziken can work too if you have fighting moves and hope they miss.

Well, Grovyle worked pretty nicely along with some Dark type.

Liza & Tate are easy to defeat with an Ice-type move for Claydol/Xatu and a Water-type move for Lunatone/Solrock. Overall, their hardest Pokemon is Claydol, because Earthquake will wreck an entire team and doesn't affect their own Pokemon. The only problem is that they carry double the number of Hyper Potions, because they're a pair.

Anyway, there might be an update tomorrow again. I've got to go soon.

They have four pokemon in Emerald? In Ruby/Sapphire they only had the Lunatone/Solrock.

I actually recently went through Ruby with the intent of having 6 evenly-leveled pokemon all the way through instead of one super high leveled pokemon, and Hariyama worked hilariously well in every gym. The only gyms he lost major amounts of health in were the electric and fighting gyms, and he absolutely crushed the flying and psychic gyms. (He almost 1HKO'd Solrock with a Vital Throw.)

Yeah Barb, that's how I play too.

Good to see all the levelings going on, but this update is sorely lacking in Lugnut.

Had a nice Zigzagoon but needed a bit more type balance.

My team kind of drifted apart in levels by the end, but here's the team I had when I beat the Champion. Hariyama was level 42 when I entered the elite four, but he crushed Sidney, Glacia, and Steven all on his lonesome due to his fighting moves and resisting both dark and ice (via Thick Fat.)

Level 49 Hariyama
Level 39 Ninetales
Level 42 Sceptile
Level 42 Mightyena
Level 42 Claydol
Level 40 Medicham

Keep in mind that Steven had a level 58 Metagross, so it's not like I just overpowered them. In fact, after every battle I had to revive all my pokemon except one. (I limit my item usage during battles to prevent Full Restore Cheese)

Yeah, I hate that. Personally I limit myself to one HP healing item and one status-curing item per battle (full restore counts as both), just because item spamming can get you to win anything. I watched a SoulSilver LP the other day, and the guy fought Red with a team comprised entirely of legendary pokemon, used them all horribly, died literally around five-six times per pokemon, but won through spamming max revive and full restore basically until the enemy pokemon had run out of PP on their best moves, then spent a while talking about how good he was to beat the best trainer in the game after he pulled out a win. That ain't skill, bud.
