Magcargo has the benefits of being tough against normal attacks, but vulnerable to fighting attacks. It shares the dual vulnerability to Water that Camerupt has, but overall Camerupt is better defensively.

Magcargo has the benefits of being tough against normal attacks, but vulnerable to fighting attacks. It shares the dual vulnerability to Water that Camerupt has, but overall Camerupt is better defensively.

But Magcargo doesn't have much of a movepool and is slow as hell. Camerupt has cool moves like Ember and Magnitude as a Numel, and Eruption/Earthquake/Rock Slide/Fissure as it levels up. Anyway, we probably won't need a fire-type for this LP. Water types are as common as hell in Hoenn and the types that it's good against, Bug/Grass/Steel/Ice aren't common at all. Besides, those types are covered by existing members already.

Recap: In the last update, Big Stu traversed a rocky and unsafe path to reach the isolated town of Lavaridge.

Err, Cacnea has been in every Hoenn game. Also, I don't think we'll need to raise Cacnea into Cacturne for Liza & Tate. Once their Claydol's down, everything can be fixed with Surf/Ice Beam.
