hey grue, nice avvy!

Thanks.

It really matches this topic.

Erm... how?
Electrikes don't even learn an electric type move until, like, level 20 or something.

I realize.

Body contact with them can really muff things up, however, if they have the-ability-whose-name-i-have-forgotten.

Update 12: Crossroads
Recap: In the last update, Big Stu journeyed from Slateport to Mauville, encountering an ungodly number of ambushes along the path.

Mauville City

Quite literally the crossroads and centre of the region.

It’s also a tourist trap!

Oh really?

Journey time!

The path is dangerous, often filled with electrified dogs.

Of course, Big Stu makes it safely to Slateport. (and also teleports back to Mauville)

Hooray for legalized gambling!

Also legalized drugs.

My bargain sense is tingling!

True, true

Also, the only tourist attraction in Mauville!

Oh wait, you look familiar

AHAHAHA WHAT

Uncle: “This may be because you resorted to stabbing wild Pokemon in an attempt to make your Ralts gain ‘experience’”

Anyone more pathetic than you, which would be no one.

Which, given your strength the last time, isn’t much of an improvement.

Big Stu is not one to turn down an easy battle.

For god’s sake, just get this over with.

…why is there a leaf on your head

Oh, you’re trying to imitate a Ralts!

Despite having nothing on his head, Retro still knocks out Ralts with a Headbutt

Stop with the ellipses already!

That was a fast victory indeed.

BYE-BYE!

Stalker…

Enough bullshitting around, time for the Gym!

I’m pretty sure that installing giant lightning rods does not comply with OSHA standards.

Double battle! (again)

Also triple levelups.

I wonder why these switches aren’t on the wall, like normal switches.

NO!

Oh, apparently Ralts as a species are weak to headbutts. Who knew?

Wait, how did this happen?

Oh man another double battle

Retro doesn’t need a sense of smell to sense money.

Double battles always seem to give levelups.

Ahahaha maze completed!

This is such a waste of time, old man.

…those were doors?

BATTLE!

Now you may be thinking “Water is weak to Electric, WTF dude?”

But Marshtomp is part ground-type, giving it our most powerful ground-type move (which Electrics are weak to) and a complete immunity to all Electric Attacks!

A Quick Attack takes away some HP.

But Esteban levels up!

Flawless Victory!

Mafioso do not need foresight, they survive on wits!

Ok, whoops. Two Mud Shots missed in a row, giving the Manectric an opportunity to Howl twice and get in a Quick Attack on Esteban.

This makes up for it, though.

Reward time!

Also badge.

Ok whatever.

…Apparently he has a Porygon somewhere?

This always happens, for some reason. But I’m not complaining.

The Family grows ever-stronger. Also Retro's closing in on being a Linoone, wicked!

Good to see Lugnut's still taking names. Shame he wasn't a bigger help at the gym though.

See? Wurmples even make a name like "buttface" seem squishy and huggable.

That Wurmple is still some ugly mofo.

Still, if it evolves into that terrifying molester Dustox, and it goes from ButtFACE to Butt--oh wait I got muted for that word never mind.

Man, did Wally's Ralts try the whole passive-aggressive thing on Retro? Clearly growling has no effect on mafiosi.

This. Dustox and Beautifly are carbon copies of Beedrill and Butterfree respectively.

Same for Senor bat. Sadly the figthing gym is done, so thats less of a chance to shine for him, but he can still destroy any grass adn bugs.

Unfortunately, I might be switching out Senor Bat soon, give that he's not very useful against any gyms whatsover.

Good to see Lugnut's still taking names. Shame he wasn't a bigger help at the gym though.

Ahaha if only he were Steel/Ground instead of Steel/Rock. He had our only other ground move, Mud-Slap. Also, being part ground would remove the irritating double weakness to Fighting and Ground. Believe me, every single trainer Pokemon will have Fighting or Ground moves.
