Are you sure duel-like pairings are the right thing for this?

This is supposed to be a battle of MINDS, a pot of these people rely on intrigue, politics, and playing people of against one another. I think plopping all of them down on a single battlefield a few days travel from each other and giving them a means to contact each other then see who's the last one standing would actually be a much better test of what we're trying to find.

That would also be near impossible to judge. Tactical battles between two at a time is the best we're gonna get.

Scipio's Legions must face off against the armies of the Imperium? This shall be a battle to shatter worlds!

She can take over people's bodies through her psychic powers, and has "vision eightfold" which seems to be x-ray vision. She is also an expert at fighting dirty and finding ways to cheat.

And yes, 076 is very overpowered, but he's alone apart from maybe a couple mercs.

No, you're thinking of Vriska (a different troll), Terezi is the blind troll, who don't have any special powers beyond being able to smell colours and politicing.

Edit: Yes, that's right, you're up against a blind 13 year old with no special powers. And she'll kick your ass.

*facepalm* Yeah, a bit mixed up there... she would probably win simply by infuriating her enemies into doing something stupid. In this case though, she's doomed. She's smart, but not smart enough to beat a guy who deals with demons for a living.

Come to think of it, the battlefield should really be decided by whoever can best force the enemy to that location.  Strategy and all that.

But SCP, from what I've seen in the article, isn't even that smart. He's just a crazy pscyho bastard that kills. He doesn't seem to have any allies. I'm not convinced he's even eligible for this, but whatever, I guess that just means he loses in the first round.
"As a direct result of this, a new task force has been set up, directly for handling and support of SCP-076-2, Mobile Task Force Omega-7 (Aka "Pandora's Box"). SCP-076-2 has only allowed personnel to create and join this squad if they met its personal standards, and could beat it, or come close to it, in anything the applicant chooses.

So far, there are only twenty (20) members of the squad, each having to beat SCP-076-2 in a different activity, as it picks up skills very easily. Mainly, SCP-076-2 has been bested in actions that it would have little to no experience in, and the list of things it has been beaten in has included board games, video games, card games and sharp shooting."

and later:

"Intelligence tests have been wildly inconclusive when applied to SCP-076-2, and no accurate result has yet been obtained. This may be due to the alien thought processes of the subject. SCP-076-2 has however, shown that it has great knowledge of human anatomy (although in a highly violent context), military tactics of open warfare, metallurgy, and, strangely enough, the care of livestock."

Picking up skills at a mind-numbing rate would come in handy in this kind of contest especially considering that Jim Raynor, Einstein and the Stranger from Myst are competitors, though I will concede that his concept of honor in battle and his preferred tactics would probably hamper him. (Though the same could be said for Creed or Sherlock Holmes)

I agree, due to this being one of Scipio's specialties.

PS: I don't hide my motives.
PPS: Sometimes.

Heh, I'm only thinking of how to get the greatest possible advantage as efficiently as possible.  Thermidor's forces are fast enough to ensure that he will maintain the initiative.  Rider has an ability that renders the battlefield conditions meaningless.

These battles started the instant submissions opened.  I intend to do my best to win.

That could be... interesting to say the least. Though Sun is gonna have to be given starcraft level weaponry for his soldiers.
