What would be the rules of taking a mortal who gets a garbled message from Mania, and tries (and eventually succeds) at becoming a god?

I think it would make for good RP and would seriously grow the mythos.

Demigod rules, except that you start with lower stats.  Gameplay-wise, it'll be tough on you, but roleplay-wise it makes for a hell of a good story.  Everyone loves an underdog.

Your first barrier will be death, though.  Assuming you play one of that species Nihilus just created (bonus long life stat!), you'll get about 5 turns before you die of natural causes to achieve either longer life or immortality of some description.  (It may take you more than that to actually become a god, be warned.)

Effectively it goes  Mortal -> Demigod -> Empowered Demigod -> God.


Edit:  Someone had better start posting in the main thread at some point, because otherwise random events may have to happen mid-turn instead of turn's end.

Sorry about that. I meant to post but never quite got around to it. I also meant to name my planet so we don't have to keep calling it the obsidian planet, but I never got around to that either.

I do approve of random events though.

It's basically just the Nazath left to act, I think.  Nihilus made a world with life, Ochita watered his/her world, Ha Gu Sa created some basic plantlife and did some terraforming on the obsidian world and Astra'loth sequestered itself away in the newly created plane of shadows.

Btw, does changing your form costs acts?

Surely transforming into something really big will cost an act.. But where`s the border?

You're a god, manifest however you wish. Making yourself enormous costs nothing.  Making yourself enormous and then crushing a crater in a planet or crushing a city is an act.

Cost is by what the effect of your act is, not how it's done.

The turn is up, our three waiting gods are in (because I felt nice) and if anyone creates a demigod, someone can play them.  Or they can play a mortal, but offer a background here first.
