I have some ideas.. Some include mortals, others the doom of the other gods.. Hmm.. Say, how powerful could an artifact be if i`d pour 4 acts into it?

Four times as powerful as one act?

Approximately as powerful as creating another plane coterminous to the main one and then sequestering it and shielding it from the intervention of other gods.

So, potent.

How will artifacts work? If it takes 4 acts to create, can it be used to perform feats which require four acts or is its utility reduced because it can be reused?

Utility reduced.  I would rather artefacts not perform things that are completely equivalent to an Act, unless it is some sort of continuous effect.  For example, an artefact that shields the wearer from the eyes of other gods would be acceptable, but also very expensive (3+ Acts).  Essentially, it costs as many acts as I feel are necessary for game balance.

So an artifact that converts water into wine is 2+ Acts?

On what scale? If it is a cask of wine at a time, probably lower. If you could dip it in an ocean and make the whole thing wine, probably more.

An artefact that produces eternal food a plate at a time, transmutes small quantities of water into wine etc is 1 Act.  A good example of this would be the Altars of Alex in the old game - stone tables that would produce a banquet so long as the surface was clear and you said a prayer in His name.

A holy Vintner of Antioch, some sort of divine symbol that transmutes whole oceans to wine/holy water/sacramental wine (in effect, any body of water it is placed in) would cost 3 Acts because it replicates a divine Act.  It would actually cost more, but because the effect is so damned specific (only water to only wine) I'd give it a discount.

Edit:  Also, the wine would probably be quite salty, since the artefact description said nothing about desalination.

But man that would be a fun thing to throw in an enemy's water supply.

Or an enemy's ocean.
