Turn 1 - Illumination

Astra'loth absorbs essence and orbits the new Sun. - No acts.
Astra'loth grows a little bigger.

Ochita makes a planet, its core is made from crystal with veins of metal working up to the surface. - 1 Act.

Ha Gu Sa creates a large, glassy black planet whose core radiates heat. - 1 Act.

Nihilus creates the paradoxical palace. (A place where everything is inverted.) - 1 Act.  (Because although this would count as 2 because it's sort of extradimensional, it is possible for anyone to find it - by accident.)

The Nazath brings a yellow star into being, the Sun. - 1 Act.

Two worlds are born form the essence, one of dark, warm glass, the other of shimmering crystal and metal.  A light burns forth in the form of the Sun, illuminating the Void.  Both the Crystal world and the Obsidian world fall into orbits around the Sun.  Both worlds attract a thin atmosphere, stolen from the gases let loose by the infant Sun, but are otherwise barren.

The Paradoxical Palace is a paradox and, as such, cannot exist.  Except that it does.  Except that it can't.  Thinking about this too long makes even a god's head hurt, so suffice to say that it doesn't exist in sync with the rest of the Universe.

Name: The Reaper; Death; The Psychopomp; The First And Last Guide; Bringer of the Last Sleep
Sphere(s): Life, Death, Magic, Shadows, Memory
Personality/traits: A quiet god who prefers to be alone. Is quite introverted and melancholy, and constantly feels weighted by all the dead souls he has brought to Beyond. He is kindly, almost fatherly to mortals who have died, despite any crimes or sins they have committed in their lifetimes. He is even more tender with the souls of those about to be born.
Appearance: His usual form is a human wearing dark clothing. In this form, Death's physical appearance usually fluctuates, but usually sticks to a middle-aged Caucasian male. He also can take the form of a wraith-like silhouette of a humanoid clad in what appears to be bronze plate. In this form, he is mostly incorporeal, but can interact with the physical world if he so pleases. The Last Guide usually takes this form if he feels threatened or in times of war.
Any other categories of importance you would like to add: The Reaper's powers are linked to sapient beings being born and sapient beings dying. It also can draw power from those who practice any form of magic.

Astra'loth drifted, enjoying the influx of Essence... but something new was happening.

It was getting full.

This was a new experience for the being, and a bit confusing. It could feel a pressure building within, as it filled up with energy. It needed to release some of it.

No... came a voice, unbidden.

It needed to use some of it. Guided by an ancient memory, so faint as to be nearly forgotten, Astra'loth imposed its titanic will upon the cosmos and rends the fabric of existence.

The rocky lump of godflesh pulsed once, and a beam of purple/black shot across space. It struck the sun, squarely in the center, and burrowed to its core.

For a moment, nothing happened... and then flares erupted across the star's tortured surface. Space began to boil and twist, and a wave of energy shot across the solar system. When the wave passes, Astra'loth has vanished.

In a place unreachable from the mundane cosmos, Astra'loth pulses contentedly.

Astra'loth creates the Plane of Shadow, an unbounded space lit by a purple/black light despite the absence of any star. Astra'loth binds the plane to its will, exercising complete control over it and warding it against godly influence.

It resumes feeding.

Out of nowhere a planet appears. And within seconds a complex ecosystem unfolds itself: Water appears, the atmosphre thickens, plants begin to grow and various animals come into existence.

And then the first Valan`anquin takes a deep breath. The first sentient mortal in the universe.

Nihilus creates Terra, a planet which looks similar to our earth and offers many different biomes. The animals and plants are also earth like. Terra orbits the sun.

The Valan`anquin look a bit like elves or humans and have a quite long life span, even though they aren`t immortal. They are skeptical, and atheists, by nature and have great mental abilities. While they start as hunters and gatherers they should be able to advance quickly.

Random Event!

As Ochita's divine will gushes forth, water flows onto the crystal planet.  Seas fill voids and hollows in the crystal surface, but the heat of the sun forces water to evaporate, thickening the atmosphere and causing rain and great storms to scour the surface of the world.  Rivers run from mountains, rejoining the sea once again.

Time passes, and the gods remain idle.  But without a mortal perception of time, who could say how much time passed?

Carbonate crystals in the planet's surface were eroded, freeing up the precious carbon.  In time soap bubbles frothed on the sea's edge, and strange and exotic chemical reactions came into being, empowered by the lightning storms that ravaged the world.

In a tiny pool, sheltered by a handful of rocks from the terror of the seas, the byproduct of one of those chemical reactions was swallowed by a soap bubble.  But unlike before, protected by the bubble, the reaction never stopped and simply kept growing and growing until soap bubble and reaction both were as one.

Protoplasmic life spontaneously evolves in a tide pool on the crystal world.

Ha Gu Sa looked at his world. It needed a name, but none came to him. No matter, it would in time.

First he scoured the land and dredged up portions of it. The dry footprints of what might be shallow seas remained, as did a layer of fine sand. Now plant life could take root.

Then, he created plant life, laying the foundation for his world to be inhabited. Four forms he created, each simple, each thriving as it served its purpose, and each able to feed on warmth as well as light.

Finally, he created storms to sweep across the world. Such was the way of things, such should it be.

Ha Gu Sa dredges the locations for shallow seas and grinds a layer of fine black sand onto the planet's surface.

Ha Gu Sa creates plant life on planet, able to thrive off light or heat.
Spoiler: Plant types (click to show/hide)

Ha Gu Sa creates two types of storms on the planet: Whipping winds, which usually turn into dust storms, and large, slow-moving hurricanes, which result in heavy rain and moderate winds. He adds some water to the basins, if only for the hurricanes to have substance.

Turn 2 - Rain

Astra'loth creates the Shadow Plane, a shadowy dimension coterminous to the main Universe but difficult to reach. - 4 acts.
The Shadow Plane is guarded against divine intervention by other deities without Astra'loth's permission.  Divine acts will not function, but commands carried out by mortals will.  Gods cannot enter the Shadow Plane without Astra'loth's permission, but demigods can (though their divine powers are nullified).

An enchantment of this magnitude is unstable.  Unless it is anchored to a material object soon, there will be catastrophic destabilisation.

Ochita creates rivers and lakes upon Crystal, then seeds four basic kinds of plantlife. - 2 Acts.
The additional water and plantlife thickens the atmosphere around Crystal.  Life spontaneously evolves on the planet, but is strongly outcompeted by the divine life forms.

Ha Gu Sa terraforms Obsidian to create large shallow depressions, as well as storms and a small amount of water. - 1 Act.  (The two acts were similar enough and low-powered enough to only take up one act.)

Ha Gu Sa creates four forms of plantlife on Obsidian. - 1 Act.

Nihilus creates an earth-like world called Terra, flush with plant and animal life.  He also creates a mortal race of humanoids called the Valan'anquin. - 3 acts.
The Valan'anquin have advantages long life and agile minds and the trait scepticism.

The Nazath stores his acts.

Crystal
The novel life on Crystal is fragile and, unfortunately, becomes a very minor strain of single-celled life against the plants of the world.
The water-based life of Crystal flourishes and blooms extensively until they colonise every river and lake on the world.  The land-based life is less effective.  While the Rystal does achieve something of a success with its crystalline roots burrowing into the surface of the planet, Ochita's Bloom remains a very rare tree due to the lack of soil.  Here and there, where rainfall or windstorms erode the crystal to a fine dust and that crystalline dust catches in small hollows protected from the wind, Bloom seeds take root and develop into full plants.

Obsidian
Ash weed spreads faster than the other plants on Obsidian, using its long but fragile roots to capture the black sand blown across the world by the terrible Obsidian storms.  With water a terribly scarce resource, their leaves become curved and tubelike to capture and store as much of the rare life-giver as possible.

In places where Ash weed is able to fix sufficient sand, Ash root bushes take root and Blue caps are able to grow, feeding primarily off the decaying matter of the weeds and bushes with the planet's innate heat as a minor food source.  Unfortunately, thanks to the harsh conditions of Obsidian, only scattered oases are able to fix sufficient sand to allow Ash root and Blue caps to grow.  The hearts of such oases have deep enough soil to support anywhere from one to three Ash trees.  Although the bark of the Ash trees does contain photosynthetic material, their primary source of nutrition is the warm underground of Obsidian into which their roots penetrate, further fixing the soil of the oases in which they live.

Terra

Life blooms suddenly and fully formed, copied from the memories of long-dead Astra'ath, still present in the Universe's background hum.  As the world is a copy, the ecology functions almost perfectly, with only a couple of extinction events upon its formation.

The Valan'anquin come into being created fresh from Essence, one thousand specimens in number.  A cultural imprint of scepticism is imprinted deep into their collective subconscious, but they have no other culture beyond the needs of the pack.  Most of the Valan'anquin split into small troops of eight to twenty, migrating away from their point of origin in search of food and water.

The Valan'anquin are fruitful on this world, their number blooming in short order to over two thousand, but with life comes death.  Felled by illness, predators or age, the Valan'anquin die as any other beast and their bodies fall to the ground and rot or are eaten.  Yet the soul remains, trapped to its earthly form.  Hundreds of Valan'anquin suffer like their, their spirits crying out in words heard not by mortal kind, but plainly audible to the Universe itself.

In answer, the Universe drew upon the memories of its unwitting Creator and formed three more entities; two of memory, one of imagination.

Garthor, Quoth and Death are created.

Make the atmoshere optimal for life by adding oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen in a mix that causes the planet to keep a steady 43 °C. Make grass that, while crystiline, it is soft and helps to keep the temperature by either sucking in or expelling heat. Finally make a race of elves that can use magic.

Simple existence grew unsatisfying for Astra'loth. Its mind had expanded during the recent surge in power, and it knew boredom for the first time. This feeling led to questions, which led to more questions. Who was it? Where was it? Did anything exist outside of itself? What? Where?

In response to growing curiousity, small, sparkling things with primitive photo-receptive crystalline matrices opened all over its surface. These 'eyes', tuned to the unique properties of Frostfel, scanned the empty dimension. Nothing...

And yet...

It could feel something. Something... other. Something outside of the Frostfel.

Its eyes flashed, cycling multiple crystalline lenses sensitive to different parts of the EM spectrum. It did not know how it did this, only that it could; and eventually it spotted what had attracted its attention.

Planets

The word came unbidden, surfacing from ancient memories. It saw the worlds in the universe. It saw the life teeming across them.

Yes... existence is not enough. Not any more.

The Frostfel quaked under Astra'loth's will, and the shadowy veil parted. A planet emerged, fully formed, an exact physical copy of Crystal in every detail, but bound to Astra'loth's will and covered in  ice. At it's heart, a large gem took shape, the core of the world.

Astra'loth creates an icy planet which occupies the same space in the Frostfel as Crystal does in the real world. It is a shadow copy of Crystal, with every surface feature mirrored. The planet is bound to Astra'loth's will.

A large frozen gem floats at its core. Astra'loth instills the gem with the enchantment that binds the dimension to its will, to stabilize the shadowy plane.

Astra'loth's surface hardens, and frost begins to form across it. Jewel-like eyes peer in all directions from beneath the icy crust, watching its domain.

Garthor looked around the young universe he had just entered, seeing that it was still empty for the most part, but rapidly growing as the gods added more planets, stars, and lifeforms. Deciding it would be best to begin his work early, while the universe was still young, he calls forth a planet from the void. It is composed solely of various metals, with no atmosphere to speak of, and no liquids apart from the molten metals in the core. Garthor then creates life on the planet, living creatures with an almost mechanical appearance, growing as they travel the world, devouring more and more of the myriad metals that make up the planet. The creatures, known as Mecanids, come in myriad forms, growing randomly when newly born before settling into a more permanent shape.

Garthor creates a metal world and populates it with Mecanids.

Deep in the hidden parts of Terra, where even gods had to spend energy to look, a remarkable birth was given to a fledgling species. The mother, breathless after a long and bloody birth, gave the boy a name.

The Last Guide opened his eyes, surveying the universe which had been made. Ah, another existence, eh? he muttered to himself, chuckling. His form melted into a wisp of black smoke, and the Reaper drifted to the world of Terra. He condensed into his physical form, a well-built human clad in robes as dark as night. Death found himself in a clearing within a large forest. Night had fallen long ago, its shroud throwing the world into darkness. The forest was still, and not a sound could be heard, as if the world was holding its breath. Then, as if someone had been hiding the sound from him, The Reaper's ears were filled with the moans of the dead, of the forgotten.

Oooohhh... make it stop... it hurts...
Mama? Is that you? Mama? I want to go home, Mama!
Idon'twanttodieIdon'twanttodieIdon'twanttodie
Where is everyone? Hellooo?

The Psychopomp's heart was filled with sadness as he heard the confused cries and sorrowful pleas of the trapped souls. Without a second of thought, Death tapped into the divine energies that he had stored within his own soul. A great beacon of light, one that only the dead could perceive, burst forth from his outstretched arm, and all the souls of the dead vanished from their world. Their current, almost coma-like, state was unsatisfactory, but it had to do now. Death had not the strength to continue, and his weakness... frustrated the Psychopomp.

Death creates an enchantment that immediately collects all the souls of the dead and puts them into a state of unconciousness.

Essence...
more Essence...the trail is so fresh...it was still...warm

He was coming nearer

He felt it

But this was not Astra'ath anymore

something had changed

is he dead?

It has been a long travel between the two universes and only the lost Essence had sustained Quôth in the unforgiving ouside of the Neither. But finally he had found him and he reached the familiar barrier of a Universe. It took nearly all the consumed Essence to part the barrier and finally enter this new One.

To..fresh

it is still...growing?

have i followed the wrong trail?

No this is the Taste of Astra'ath...and something else

A new Devourer...

Quôth sensed the other gods.

Death and Misery...
Sceptisim and Hate...
Good...soon there would be a new feast...

But he also felt something familiar...
Dragnar?
No...this couldn't be possible...

Quôth materialized in his common form near the newborn planet and watched silently as the god did it's work.

He is of the Essence of Dragnar
but he isn't Dragnar
An ambitious demigod maybe?

Quôth stores his acts and silently watches Garthor in his doings
