I have a feeling we're going to need to stick together a lot better than we've been doing if we're going to survive this.

Yes.

You have been put to rest, Phantom.

I have a feeling that if I try to dig upwards I will cause a cave-in.

I am NOT willing to die like poor Phantom. Or in an even worse way.

Anyone got any ideas? Should I dig up to Criptfeind? Should I dig directly east? Should I construct a bridge and then dig upwards to Hugehead? Or should I explore the depths? Either way, I'm kinda screwed right now.

I suggest we do something like this
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
With some of us digging and the others pulling in trees and using them as supports. We should quickly get as many trees as possible well Japa distracts them so we can be relatively safe under ground. So I purpose that Orange, pink, and blue dig (With blue being very careful not to cause a cave in) and Light green, dark red, red, and yellow gather trees and build supports until. Japa should try to stay alive as long as possible and maybe try to dig his way to safety.

All in favor?

Ok, but this had better not result in my death or I will haunt you from the grave. ;)

Also: Anyone else notice the... GOLD that's underneath the lake?

You are in the most danger. Also OH FUCK
From beneath the earth, a small quake is felt.  A momentary loss of balance and all is still.
Ummmm... we may need to leave you to your death and RUN THE FUCK AWAY.

Alright, I'll follow the plan. Though I'm going to leave some stone pillars every once in a while.

Follow the plan, while leaving 2 pixel wide stone pillars every 4 squares.

Good idea. Everyone do that as well.

Follow the plan, while leaving 2 pixel wide stone pillars every 4 squares.

Proceed to the dirt tunnel and start making supports for the tunnel.

I think that we need tools and weapons. Shovels, picks, rope and spears would be good. We could make shovels and picks from rock and wood, rope from long grass woven together and spears from wood. Shields as well from wood and rope and we could make camoflage from mud and grass. The mud can hide our smell as well.

I will follow Criptfiend's plan for the digging.
Every 8 pixels of digging through rock will get a 2 pixel stone column afterwards. Every 4 pixels of sand/dirt will get a 2 pixel stone column afterwards.
I will build each column before proceeding with the digging.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but if this is a 2d game, how will you go around the supports?
