You should get this published.
And I honestly believe this is worthy of publication.

Okay, consolidating this round was, uh... difficult. Bloody 40,000 character limit. So I've got to split this one into three posts (244 panels mang, that be a lot of adventuring).

The epilogue will come in... oh, a week or so? No hurry.

Thanks for the kind words as well, everyone.

I couldn't hear the music. :( Also, wasn't Rusty in the ship?

The ship blasted off to earth.

I was thinking more along the lines of this legendary champion, all clad in dented and dinged up steel plate, his blood-drenched axe slung over his back, a notch in the handle for every enemy that saw the swing of that blade as the last sight they ever saw, a battered shield strapped over his arm... and a fluffy, pink stuffed hippo hidden discretely in his breastplate.

Ah, I see. Also, it seems my speakers' connection must have been loosened at some point, so I was getting no sound because of that.

EDIT: Yes, that was the problem. Great music.

So cool! :o

Did I hear the "island is breaking into pieces" music from Cave Story in there?

Perfect guess on your part retro, the song ran a little long, but was still perfect for my reading; I even delayed contenuation a couple of times for the music to sync back up.

Y'know, if it hadn't been for the already announced epilogue, that cliffhanger was enough for me to shout for a sequal...

Doubtful! I wrote this myself, and while I'm a big fan of the Cave Story soundtrack, I didn't think anything got subliminally worked in.

And thanks for the kind words again everyone! :D If anyone has any hanging questions about the game or backstory or anything like that, I can't answer them quite yet, but I'll be able to after I post the epilogue.
