Maybe the elves who think they're perfect are supposed to identify with pube-free readers? [/troll]

Elves are pretty much Paolini, read some interviews and the books and you'll notice how much of himself he put into the race.

Quite a number of people who get put into elves don't have any choice in the matter. There might have been battle logs to that effect, somewhere.

I love how in the 3rd book (or whatever), the evil guy (Obelix or whatever) not really being Eragon's father is the Big Twist(TM)! It's like Fetuccini (or whatever) shouting "aha! you didn't think I would make a single fact from my books not be completely identical to Star Wars! Gotcha!".

^^^

i want to make a book like lord of the rings but when they destroy the evil macguffin instead of killing the bad guy or whatever it gives him super strength and he runs around punching people to death in a comedic fashion.

I once put an elf inside of another elf. Granted, one elf was a corpse that I hit the other one with so hard it stayed stuck in but it still counts.

"So, it's like, gonna be Star Wars, right?"

"Right."

"Except it's got dragons and magic swords and shit, I mean, fuck that space shit."

"Okay."

"And the elves are gonna be like, the coolest shit ever, and they won't have pubic hair, and my main character is totally gonna be staring at their crotches all day."

"... Right."

"But dude, like, get this, okay? So the Darth Vader guy? He's totally not the Luke guy's father. Isn't that shit just the best?"

"That's nice, dear."

"Can we publish this now?"

Wait, it specifically mentions that they don't have pubic hair?

So, no one else noticed that for a book all about magic and dragons and all that, that if you simply switched the first letter of Eragon just one place in the alphabet backwards, you discover it spells "Fail Title"?

Dragon is a potentially badass title, if there are no actual dragons in the book.

Sure, I can agree to that, but the condition there is the entire reason why I believe my point is valid.
