why do I feel like modding the game so the description of dragons includes the fact that they all have the voice of Rachel Weisz?

Cough.

They never told who was Eragon's father, right?

But that was a lie! In the third one they reveal who the real one is.

Now, I have to speak out for the book a bit.
It's managed to entertain me for some hours, and whilst it was certainly not original or exceptionally well written, it did its job.
The second book is boring as hell, but it's looking up on the third. The third is definitely the best book yet, I hope the fourth will be even better.

I didn't hate the first one, I didn't like the second, and I actually almost liked the third.

Anyways, since Paolini is writing more than three books, I'm interested in seeing what's in the fourth book.
Thrawn?

I'm trying to think of a reasonable way to fit a Thrawn expy into the fourth book. It's surprisingly hard  :-\

Books were alright, despite a complete lack of particular logic of context throughout(no, I don't have a damn clue what I just said). Movie was terrible, and I'm pretty sure they shot themselves in the face foot as far as doing a movie for the second book.

The Elves are shit, really.
They are atheist (Atheism in an age where science is practically unheard of?) and keep on whining how they're dying out. Are they going to do something, since they are mentally and physically vastly superior to humans? No, of course not, because Elves are pacifist whiny bitches for some reason.

Because they're Elves

that bit not that absurd. Atheism isn't a twentieth century invention, there have always been people who simply don't believe.

And it's not like there's a single, extremely powerful religion in the series.

Still, an entire race of atheists in a high-magic fantasy world?

Not to mention, Eragon actually sees a dwarven god in the third book.  And doesn't rub it in the elves' faces. I mean, more important stuff* going on at the time, but...

Meh.  Books were okay, even for the first two being almost completely identical to Star Wars.

*Well, eternal damnation for the elves, but no one cares what happens to them.

In a medieval world without science where people seem to be able to do stuff out of nowhere, I'd believe in gods too.
