Mharanzar

Mharanzar is a small continent in the west, mostly made up of savanna, the occasional patch of desert and jungle in the south. Mharanzar is inhabitated by several tribes of humanoid Seonar, a race of sentient, flightless avian creatures. They are both culturally and technologically very primitive, though some tribes have already erected permanent settlements and invented agriculture. Seonar are fast breeders and Mharanzar is full of native ores and resources just waiting to be exploited, but it's not likely the Seonar will ever band together and create an unified system of government. They are easy prey for any invading, more technologically advanced race.

Mharanzar possesses a wide variety of native flora and fauna, the most interesting perhaps the massive, amphibious Leviathans dwelling in coastal waters or the Devil Birds, which can spit poison incredibly accurately even from far away.

Psionics and Magic
The Sentient Sea Dwellers have been quite known for their magical abilities and minor Psionic skill, with the Human inhabitants sometimes possessing individuals with extreme Psionic skill. For example, Telekinesis. Aquanaut Commander Dave Frasier is one such example. Kadzarites and the inhabitants of Mharanzar are included to an extent.

The Never-ending Eclipse
There are many different and strange places within this world, all with its own unique traits and features that 'expressed' itself different from one to the other. Those who were caught within The Never-ending Ellipse would find that it was their own self hatred that was being expressed instead. One would think that seeing a solar eclipse without burning their eyes would be a sight for the ages, or the fact that seeing a solar eclipse day in and day out within a forest would be amazing sight. It was only until recently that there have been enough accounts from the rare survivor of this traveling forest that enough information could truly describe the possible horrific events that can occur within this dreaded freak of nature. Those who first hear the stories for the first time from the survivors always have a sense that it "felt as if the forest itself kept them alive to tell others what they experienced" or that "they kept just enough of their sanity to be able to warn us of this danger".

Word has started to spread to figure out a way to exit this forest safely without any harm done to themselves or others within their company. Most pessimists who hear this tale state that the exit can only be found be a survivor who has not been mangled or have lost multiple limbs. What is well known though is the features that this forest displays when it starts to surround your path. The moon, where ever it is located within the sky, races towards the sun, darkening the land with a eerie orange and purple shade. The creation of the solar eclipse occurs as quick the trees grow around you. Trees that seem to cover the entire sky. Even if you happened to climb one, you would some how end back on the ground. This would suggest that reality itself is altered in this realm, as this obviously does not make any sense what so ever. Even though most of the stars are covered by the massive leaves that seem to jump from one tree to another, the solar eclipse never leaves your eye sight even if you happen to look at the ground. Within minutes of entering the forest, whether alone or with others, you slowly feel the urge to criticize your own mistakes of your past actions. This feeling intensifies to a point where you start yelling at yourself, seething within so that you may seek a way to end yourself so that you may end the guilt of your existence. As this emotion reaches a critical point, you suddenly feel absolved by your past mistakes while you observe your past self hatred take physical form by altering your very reality. After this point everything is very sketchy, and the most that have been recalled by the survivors are either terrifying screams or repeatable mumbles that do not end for hours.

I was thinking more along the lines of this legendary champion, all clad in dented and dinged up steel plate, his blood-drenched axe slung over his back, a notch in the handle for every enemy that saw the swing of that blade as the last sight they ever saw, a battered shield strapped over his arm... and a fluffy, pink stuffed hippo hidden discretely in his breastplate.

The White Rabbit of The Never-ending Eclipse
While lost in that horrible forest, most insane ridden victums speak in brief of the white rabbit.  It's rapid gait, it's frantic gaze and twitching ears.  Most murmur about how they tried to chase the rabit.  Only one ever succeeded.  Her name is Jefferson.

When asked about how she escaped that land unscathed, she said:
Go ask Alice, when she's ten feet tall.

Abyss Beasts

Abyss Beasts are magical creatures that appear - usually without warning - in places of high magical concentration, such as the Magical Nexus or a meeting of sorcerers. They are usually described as red-black, armoured dog-like creatures. They are completely immune to magic attacks, though physical attacks can still kill them if they are hit in their unarmoured areas. A thick shell covers most of their bodies. Abyss Beasts have no eyes, but can sense magic and magicians, and, to a lesser extent, the life-energy of all living beings. They have teeth that can cut through even body armour.

Abyss Beasts exist only partly in this world, their bodies shifting and warping the air around them. They bring with them a horrible stench, though nobody has been able to pinpoint what it is like. Fortunately, once Abyss Beasts leave their high-magical areas, they disappear.

The Twin Suns
When traveling through the Fire Plains for a prolonged amount of time, say 1 (One) day, individuals seems to have been to notice the sun splitting into 2 (Two) identical stars. Within 10 (Ten) minutes of exposure to this phenomenon, landmarks seem to disappear into an endless, bleak flat desert. Heat begins to double within 20 (Twenty) minutes of exposure. After more than 1 (One) hour of exposure, the event becomes hard to escape and within hours individuals higher mental functions slip away until only the impulse to Eat, Drink, and Sleep remain.

The Multi-Terrain Explorations Group/M.T.E.G.
The M.T.E.G. is a group of humans dedicated to exploring this planets various locations, and researching it's phenomenons plus native wildlife. It's symbol is a Shovel, Halberd, and a Pick axe. Exploration and Research focuses are voted on. People who work for the group are often rewarded greatly, to compensate for the dangerousness of many places it researches, such as the Fire Plains or Hive controlled Underground areas. They literally have nothing for personnel to defend themselves with in those areas, so personnel must use their wits and what they procure to make themselves survive.

'Slaught

'Slaught is a powerful drug that has spread like a wildfire since it's introduction. The first documented uses of 'Slaught were in a small coastal town, and it is highly probable it is made from some underwater substance or plant. Refined 'Slaught is actually less powerful than the raw stuff, but in all cases, the effects are the same; falling into deep sleep, and false memories of another, more perfect life for the duration of the sleep. This leads very easily to users becoming estranged from their real lives, and, after a while, becoming confident that the drug-induced life is the real one, and reality the lie. Refined 'Slaught is less dangerous in this, as the memories it creates are blurred, and feel more unreal.
'Slaught and it's users can be found almost everywhere, carried by traders to all corners of the world.

The Winged Serpent

After coming out of the Fire Plains after over a day of stay, travellers sometimes claim to have met a creature that guided them out, for a prize - more specifically, their souls. While descriptions vary, the creature is usually a massive green serpent with wings and eyes of either fire or valuable jewels. Before it's arrival, the a small earthquake will be felt, and in some cases, clouds will gather overhead. Within minutes of this, the desert sands will shift to reveal the Serpent, who will then offer to lead the travellers out in exchange for their souls. If the travellers agree, the serpent tells them to follow and flies into the sky, always staying in view of the travellers. After about fifteen minutes of travel, the normal landmarks will begin to reappear and the edge of the Fire Plains come nearer.
While it is unclear if the Serpent is real or a hallucination, the famous explorer Igell Amante was claimed to have pleaded with an unseen person or being on his deathbed, seconds before passing away.

The great worms of Mharanzar
The great worms were once 50 meters in diameter and could grow up to two miles in length.
These collasal creature burrowed tunnels beneath Mharanzar and many of the other continents.
Capable of tunneling through solid steel they created a deep, vast network of tunnels now used mostly by the hive.
They are now thought to be extinct with thousand year old remains dotting the Mharanzar savanna.
The reason for their disappearence is blamed on the hive who when they failed to control a species without a central nervous system drove them towards the surface.

We have space marines yet?

There is a small group of humans that call themselves worm hunters, they have advanced suits and weapons that make quick work out of anything in their way.

We have Basic and Aqua Marines and an Exploration Service. Also elaborate more, or otherwise I'm gonna think of a bunch of Bandits who jacked some of the other marines stuff and went around killing anything.
