Making playable race
« on: July 20, 2010, 08:27:15 pm »

It's happened twice so far but during world generation it will take 99 tries to make a world, and then tell me it is having trouble placing civilizations. The only modding I've done is replaced the dwarf files in entity_default.txt with:

Spoiler: Replaced files (click to show/hide)

I think I'm missing something in my files, so could anyone advise me on what I'm missing or don't need?

Oh and this is identical to the original Colossi file except I added:
[ENTITY:MOUNTAIN]
   [CIV_CONTROLLABLE]
   [ADVENTURE_TIER:2]

At the top you have [ENTITY:MOUNTAIN] and [CIV_CONTROLLABLE], those are for entity files. I saw your post in another thread, the others have not given you a good tutorial at all. You merged creature raws and entity raws all in one. Replace your files with vanilla DF files and consult Shaostoul's Modding Guide on a tutorial to modding. If you have any questions AFTER consulting the guide, post here or in Shaostoul's thread and someone will help you. I would give you a tutorial myself, but Shaostoul's work would go to waste and from your other previously mentioned post, you don't know anything about modding.
