Your assumption leads to your downfall. Kanonji's staff is strong enough to kill a human with a single blow. Sam would have to be very agile and very lucky to avoid those blows. And GodLuggage help him if Don Kanonji's Ultimate Attack connects.

Oh, and let's not forget that an entire guild of incredibly skilled and professional killers hunted him for years as he went about his daily life, and they eventually gave up from his pure stubborn refusal to be killed.

Vimes would probably hide in the shadows, say something like "This is a stronginthearm IV mark 4, the most powerful crossbow in the city. It could blow your head clean off..." and the breaking of anime bones would commence.

I clearly haven't read enough diskworld... what books is this guy in?

Ah. I've only read 5-6 of the diskworld books. And they were mainly about Rincewind and death.

These and Ochita's reasons are of no use and are little better than votes. I'm still researching the characters, though it seems to me that it's about even. Each can kill the other in a single hit, it just comes down to who will make first contact.
