25th hematite 1054
I prepare for a good long rest on my first day free of tiresome administrator duties. But alas, it was to good to last. Soon enough I have a horde of dwarves begging me to resume my duties and free them from these endless maze like corridors. Very well, I agreed once more. But after this one I am definatly taking a longer break.

Mayor Haldor storms into my office. I could have sworn that I asked a carpenter to construct me a sign. Oh wait.. I recall asking the one that got possessed and died of thirst. Damn.
"Mayor, what can I do for you on this fine morning"? I asked reluctantly.
"Why is it that you've ordered the miners to dig out rooms for all the peasants, yet I still reside in something smaller than a prison"."Forgive me mayor Haldor, I've been going down my list in order, if you can wait a-""Wait?! Did you just tell ME to wait?" Ofcourse. I forgot how pesky these nobles can get.
"No Mayor Haldor, forgive me, it was wrong of me to not put you first on the list". If he jails me now I'll never get anything done here, best to play along for now.
"That's better". He said and straigtened his pose.
"Also I want you to immediatly forbid the export of tables"."Tables"? I asked, curiously yet cautiously.
"Why tables, sir?""We're running short on them, none must leave the fort for now". He said hesitantly. Lying was not his thing. Table fettish, psh.
"I could just order the masons to construct some more". Yes I'm testing him, I doubt he'll jail me for this.
"No"! He shouted. "
They have other more important duties, no table leaves this fortress or it'll be on your head"! I nodded in understanding and rolled my eyes as he left the office.

A farmer has withdrawn from society and claimed a magma forge. This could be promising.

One of the miners stops me on my way to a much needed drink. "Administrator, the
forgotten beast Ngokang has been sighted in the tunnels. Apparantly it's a gigantic noseless opossum. It is said that we should beware of it's noxious secretions". I coughed, a slime beast? What? Gods be with us. I don't want to be the one who has to clean up after that should it ever reach our fort.

A soft knock on my door startled me from my afternoon nap.
"Come". I said, whoever it is was atleast polite enough to knock, that's a first. THe door opend with a squeek and Melbil the farmer appeared in my office.
"Melbil" I greeted him with a smile. "
Welcome back to the land of the living, I heard you've been quite busy in the magma forge".
"Yes I have administrator, he said happily, I came to show you what I made". He carefully raised his newly made copper battle axe menacing with spikes of copper, willow and green glass.
"I decided to call it Spraylegends." Not very fitting I thought. It didn't seem overly worthy either, but atleast it wasn't worthless. For a moment I contemplated to claim it for myself. But I'll let him hold on to it for now. Plus we've gained a legendary weaponsmith. A great addition to the workforce.

At last. Every soul in the fort now has a room they can call their own, which they can reach without getting lost. And I have yet another reason to finally step down from my duties here. Which I shall now, everything is calm. Production goes well. Best of luck to my predessessor.
Things I did:
-Set the military to train whilst on active duty. Seems to be working fine now.
-Bedrooms for all
-Bigger bedrooms for named chars > Add / remove the items in them of your dwarfs room to your liking.
-Sufficient drinks are now stocked
To do:
Military still needs way better gear. Still training with leather and wooden training weapons.
