Absolutely true. Legally. But lets face it, we are on the dwarf fortress forums talking about selling merchandise based on a tile set for the dwarf fortress game. Even if law says it's unnecessary, good etiquette demands one at least asks the developers for consent first.
Also I have no right to speak on her behalf. So even if she's given consent I still would make no guarantees... Though I'm sure if enough people show and interest they could be persuaded. :-P
I intend to point this thread out to her if/when it gets to around 50 replies. Should be sufficient to boost her confidence. So if you think the plushy dwarf is awesome speak up and be heard... Visually... With text.

Me too! Not sure where the dragon is though. Plush Charizard it will have to be (who is currently guarding a silk vein). The victim will be fed to the plush orcas, which must be undead since they can travel on land. :-P

OP, what would a life-sized doll look like?
Well this is just speculation mind you. But I would assume it would be 4 feet tall, plumper, with more beard, hands and feet, multiple layers of cross gender beer stained clothes it could throw off in melancholy, extremely high flammability and eyes you could gouge out. Possibly with throws up in sunlight action, though that's leading more towards the action figure line. Elf bone crossbows accessory sold separately.
Oh god. I was never into plushies, but this one is totally adorable. My first thought was "I hope the cat does not damage it" 
, I really like it.
Don't worry, the cat is given less precious toys to destroy to distract her from the awesome ones. That said, other then the suspenders and beard (which could be stitched down) it's pretty pet durable.
You have to make an elf plushy too!that way the dwarf will be able to have wars
