I lost my liaison, and he's been replaced in my Civ, but the new one hasn't shown up in four years. Is there something I have to do to make him show up?

Playing 31.08, definitely not getting a replacement liaison.

The human liaison was actually a megabeast who was rampaging through my fortress. I had to arrange for an "unfortunate accident" for him, and even had a few artifacts made out of the bones and leather later on.

That was in the year 1053. It is currently the year 1089, and the humans have never sent a new liaison.

EDIT: looks like cephalo beat me to it    Hadn't seen the liason get replaced in the civ, but then again I never looked. Hoorah new info!

New liaison?  The only fort I played on 31.10 (before real life intervened) never got the original liaison!  Not even his corpse....   I did get trade caravans and migrants, so I know I wasn't in some bizarrely isolated corner of the world.

I just figured the rest of the empire was content to send us the leftovers of what they didn't sell to the "good" fortresses....
