Something, The Text Adventure.
« on: July 17, 2010, 09:21:17 pm »

A Really General Text Adventure (at the beginning, anyway). You guys can suggest anything as long as it can be reasonably explained for why it can happened in the game at that point. (like saying that that potion you drank to see what it was was a polymorph potion, and it turned you into a dragon.) I'm only going to post what happens for the most ridiculous action (or the most popular one.), but I'm making a really simple program that will include all of the decently popular actions as well, because I wanted to make a non-gamemaker game but have no ideas.

To Start, suggest whatever the heck you want, as long as it doesn't kill the guy. the need for reason will start once the character is actually doing something.

Code: [Select]
You are in a room. You a currently a nude human with no items. What do you do?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Meditate to gain your psionic focus, then break out of the room by manifesting a whip of flame and setting it (the room) on fire.

does the guy have flame-resistance (or a suit that does)? otherwise he'll also end up on fire.

Yes, naturally. Also the ability to control flames.

If you'll accept multiple unrelated suggestions from the same people, I also suggest that we just walk through a wall and out of the room (ghost-style, not kool-aid-man-style (although kool-aid-man-style's kind of neat too)).

Check our hammerspace arsenal for that battering ram, and bash the door down.

Are we male or female? (SOMEONE had to ask that question sooner or later).

Walk out of the room through a wall, Kool-Ade Man style.

There's a difference between ghost wall-walking and no-clip? If so, ghost. Kool-Ade's cool, but not as cool as just passing right though (IMO).

the character is currently neither/both/either. First person to post an action requiring either kind of gender-specific parts will set it.

no, but ghost wouldn't need a reason if we use it again later. ghost doesn't need a reason to go through the wall, its a ghost; wall-walking comes with the package.
no-clip would require hacking reality (or at least this adventure's reality)

Oh, then hacker style! Hacking your own body is awesome! Plus, it means we might truly be androgynous, and not even human.

HACK=YES. Even more so if we can change our "gender" whenever we want.

Not just whenever, but HOWEVER! We don't even have to resemble a human if we don't want to! We could become a Cthulu-esque being, albeit without the insanity aura.
