Oh wow, cool last moment action. Great job! That brings the number of unique Bay12 winners to 9.

I'll start my last games now. I want to end in a combo highscore, so it might take a few. Tomorrow it's time to say the last words on the tournament and ultimately lock the thread to seal the time capsule.

Congratulations, baruk and Frumple! Bay12 is still scoring wins even in the final hours of the tournament. I wish I could do the same, but I am tired of Crawl. I don't think I'll play again after I finish my current game.

...or you could join the dark side and play Incursion.  We could always use another convert, and it's about as far from Crawl's simplicity as you can get without the levels of BASTARD encountered in NetHack.

Before we forget with time and have "ghost teams" created like a few of those that are listed but didn't played during the tourney, should we remove the team/captain entries now from the rcfiles , or wait a few days in case there are stats being built ?

Absolutely humongous thanks to all the players! There was lots of fun to be had, many triumphant moments shared in the thread and all around great team spirit. I would've never expected a 33 player turn-up in the tournament when I started the thread. You all did great, even if the opposition was way stronger this year.

Some final congratulations especially to the first time victors (myself included, whee), but also a big one to those who've managed the feat before. And not forgetting those that got their first rune and those that managed to get their best games in the tournament.


A special mention to Demos AKA Dr. Feelgood. With an all-rune win and two others in a streak, he got more points than anyone else from Bay12 and thus is rightfully the 2010 Bay12 Crawl Champion!

The second place goes to Blyxx, 190 points behind Demos!

Aand the third place to tinymouse! Woo, nicely done all!

I think we all had our fair share of Crawl this month and a break might be inevitable, but I'm sure Bay12 will be participating again next year, I already have some ideas on new kinds of teams.

Go Bay12!



I'll leave the thread open for a few more days if there's someone who wants to have a say.

P.S. This thread became the 17th biggest thread in Other games! 1111 replies in 6 weeks. Wow.

Well I'm going to keep playing! I'm trying Deep Elf Summoner again. I have the toughest Swamp:1 I have ever seen. Norris was right by the entrance, and now... Mara! Wtf, Swamp.

Good job everyone, and congrats to all the first-time winners!

Edit: Boris on Swamp:3? Swamp of Doom.
