Anyway, the teams are now set and the tournament is halfway through, only thing left is to get as much points as possible. Speaking of which, the clan LostArtBrewing has taken the top place of the combo highscores list and seems like the common interest of Blacksmiths and Miners to bring it down. The guy named Eli is the guy mostly behind that, so beating his combo scores is the most effective way to reclaim the first spot.

So, managed to take 2 combos from LostArtBrewing, so we are now tied as I write this. Need to maintain the first position now.

Wow, those spiny worm are really though and hit hard.
My Spriggan enchanter was one shotting them in their sleep, but with a Troll that's very different.

Despite they have been unable to poison my Troll Berserker (thanks ring of poison resistance), i was in need of Brother in Arms to take one down, as even my strength 30+ and level 12 berserked troll couldn't hit hard enough to kill one before being killed himself.

And as i ran into several of them one by one, that's a lot of faith lost in calling Brother in Arm (nearly lose 1 rank each time i summon one).

But at last i managed to escape Lair:8 in which there were too many of them for my troll survival.

Wow, me and Mr. Trog are best pals now it seems. This is what he just gave me:

I suddenly love him a lot more, since while yes I wanting a ranged weapon to shoot at runners (instead of currently throwing stones), he gave me a Long Bow, when I'm a mountain dwarf with only throwing ability. Still, when I find some arrows I'll give it a whirl, since I'm it will still do better than rocks.

The second I stepped into its view I was hit with a breath of draining. Downed me a level, and based on the damage given I instantly read a tele scroll. It breathed on me every turn there after, and if it hadn't missed once I woulda been dead. 3 Breaths dropped me from 103 to 13. Not going there again until I get something to protect against drain. Scary stuff...

The good news is that rN+++ completely negates all draining damage, so once you've got it, easy ghost kill.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Today I killed Polyphemus. I also learned that my SpEn is mostly capable of killing death yaks purely via melee. Little bit of poison kiting, but mostly just walking up and daggering them to death. This... really shouldn't be viable. Little spriggan has no business beating on mighty death yak.
I know! I was kind of surprised as well, but It makes sense in a way. They get a natural speed boost, and their excellent affinity to dodging can easily mean EV in the fourties. Spriggans are little vegeterian DEATH MACHINES.

My Deep Dwarf Priest is doing well, i've got 3 runes and some good AC:

I've never done a full 15 rune run, I'm wondering if I should transfer over to TSO, and if I do will I be getting enough healing from my kills in all of the late branches?  I'm guessing I should clear the main dungeon and hall of blades before converting, anything else that won't be chock full of demons and undead? 

I also need to find some sort of tele control, I have tele null, but thats not a very good solution.

Any of you guys beat the Sprint map? I have a pretty good game going but not sure if I can win yet. 4 runes collected so far. :) I cleaned out Orc, Elf, Hive (rune), Shoals (rune), Snake Pit (rune), Blades, Crypt(rune), most of Lair (but not Slime), and most of Vault. Found a (permanent?) bazaar with 12 shops, and what looks like the entrance to the late game (currently blocked by Mara). Boris chased me so I led him into the empty Shoals where he will hopefully stay. There are a couple of golden dragons at the north end of the vault, not easy to kill. Also an ancient lich in a translucent cage, I'm afraid to go go near in case he summons a bunch of nasty 1s. He's probably got some nice loot. At the end of Crypt there were a lot of mummies, mummy priests, and a couple of greater mummies but I managed to kill them and the loot was pretty good, including a large stack of acquirement scrolls. A couple other acquirement were guarded by Azrael and another efreet across a lava lake but they were easy to kill with freezing cloud.

Note there is always a hidden room near the start with a pile of scrolls and potions. Also Orc has a hidden area with a lot of gold.

Not sure what to tackle next... I hate fighting Mara. :(

Wow, what happened there ?

My current Spriggan run did nasty mutations that i had a lot of difficulty to remove as only found way later a remove mutation potion.
I wish for once online i would get actually good mutations, so far only offline it has happened to any of my characters.

I'm taking way too long to finish my game. I don't know how streakers can play the same combos repeatedly. It's boring.

Getting tormented as a deep dwarf sucks. TSO is a great god for grabbing 15 runes. Deal with the big demons quickly, then kill the weaker ones to regain health.

Argh, i was in a Bailey earlier (though according to the map i doubt it was that specific bailey) with my current Spriggan but i didn't bothered with it and exited quickly, as there was several crossbow armed orcs in small 2x2 islands surrounded by deep waters, i prefered to retreat as i couldn't stab them all without using some levitation scroll.

I could have sure used a bit of stats increase, especially the strength, as it is a pain to carry few items without reaching the "encumbered" status that lower the stealth my character depends on.

At least i will know this for next time.

thats one of the reasons i prefer confuse to sleep with spen, you can just confuse them and let them walk into that deep water that surrounds them, or shoot eachother.

I just realized, after adding the new body parts to the other races, that I have an entire squad of dwarves with a shield in each hand and swinging their axes with their penises. There's nightmare fuel for those goblins, in more ways than one.
