Same, but for me it's usually Hydras. I learned my lesson with Orc Warriors and Ogre.

I ran apparently into a bug.
My current character managed to reach the temple.

And inside there are lots of Lugonu altars, and only a few other gods, it is missing a lot of them.
I imagine those lots of Lugonu altars have replaced the other ones that should be there.

That actually happened once to me as well. Luckily the god I wanted was there.

It's not a defect, it's a feature!

I'm serious about this too, they added corrupted temples that have lots of Lugonu altars and some altars to other gods (the other gods are in overflow altars, as you would expect). Sometimes Beogh and Jiyva altars show up, I believe. Although it may be a bug after all since I thought they removed the corrupted temple since people complained about it since it meant not getting a lot of normal god choices.

I didn't knew about those corrupted temples, first time i see that.
It is sure a bit annoying, unless you're aiming to follow Lugonu, i was hoping for Yredelemnul that is nowhere to be found.
I hope the other altars will be found not too far in the dungeon then.

Got the shoals rune! Sublimation of blood is definitely worth the spell levels, albeit a little risky when you're using a weapon to cover some resists. I'm fairly sure I lucked out with shoal's fifth level; seemed like it was just a randomized one instead of one of the set things with all sorts of nasties in it (I've taken to checking out the git's raws for vault layouts ); worst I saw was probably a single aquamancer and a sole javelineer. The javelineer did come bloody close to killing me, though -- sent me from full health (~110 hp) to around 40 in two hits.

Now I just have to figure out what do do next, heh. Between slime, the crypt, and the vaults, which is the easiest to get a rune from? I've got portals to hell and the abyss sitting around somewhere, too...

In other news, my Ogre Assasin of Xom finally died. I started it to beat a 186 point record and when I hit a Xom altar on D:1, I joined right away. This guy killed 5(!) uniques I didn't have before and ever since Crazy Yiuf fell, I was using the quarterstaff of chaos. Against all odds, the guy kept surviving and at XL:12 (drained to 11 at last turns) in Lair I ran out of teleport sources when Xom decided to test my strength with a bunch of demons...
