In other news, FIRST FREAKING RUNE, EVER.

Spent a crapload of hunger (from engorged down to hungry up to very full back down to normal) slowly luring everything (and pretty close to literally everything) in the swamp ("swamp_pestilence") vault out of the place and stair scumming to kill them. Took probably over a dozen traveling of the stairs before I killed the bone dragon from the thing, though only three up-downs once I realized that dispel undead does, in fact, do more damage than mystic blast, at least sometimes. Oklobs are really hard to kill, too; took probably 5-6 around-the-corner fireballs (it was a miasma producing square, too! Lucked out there, though, thanks to telecontrol and blink I only lost 1 max hp getting the rune) to kill the thing.

Is there anything in this vault besides the rune?

Nobles, Traders, Woodworkers, Stoneworkers, Doctors, Farmers, Fishers, Jewelers, Crafters, Haulers, or Engineers. I like Haulers because that is another name I have for Immigrants.

Crawl is a roguelike game where you create a character and dive into a huge dungeon to retrieve the Orb of Zot.  The tournament is played using a client-server version of the game which records everyones games.  Go to crawl.akrasiac.org to see the host site.
