Last day before the Tournament!

Hmm, there's some folks missing from all teams:
* Vactor from Champions, but he'll likely be here soon.
* Leafsnail from Blacksmiths, no idea when he's coming back, but conveniently enough we have a backup ready.
* Skid from Miners, who's been online even today. He still has KoE as his captain. Changing that to Robsoie would be great.

Then the problematic ones:
* PsyberianHusky, who's been last online 2 days ago and hasn't said anything since his sign-up post that ended in 'lol'.
* de5me7, who's been off the forums for a full week and has been equally quiet since his sign-up.


I guess it's starting to be the time for the Immigrants to do what they do in Dwarf Fortress, take up the jobs that other dwarves for some reason can't do anymore. So that means that Humaan and bulborbish can join Soapers (#TEAMCAPTAIN Quinn) and Daenar (Sildraith) would join Blacksmiths (#TEAMCAPTAIN LASD). The replaced people will be shuffled to the Immigrants with question marks.

Objections will be heard. It'd just be great to have the team setup confusion over with before the tournament is in full blast.


Anyway, starting in 12 hours! So contestants, keep good care of your liquid balance and don't sprain any fingers or something like that.

I sent a PM to Skid to see if he will or not take part of the tournament in the Bay12_Miners.

Can't wait for the tournament to begin to see if i will have more luck with the random generation than in normal gameplay

I can't dare to hope for a rune or two, so i hope to get at least 1 or 2 points lol

So it apparently starts, like, today? Well, today by CST standards. Neat, I guess. Was expecting sometime tomorrow. So now for my questions three:

1) How long does this thing last, again? From what I remember, it was th'whole of August, right?
2) Does anyone know what crawl considers the long-rest command, normally shift-num5? I'd like to redefine the bloody thing, since putty apparently doesn't realize its existence on this computer. Running back and forth to regen health has already gotten me killed probably three times.
3) Keeping a list o'deaths would be awesome. Would like to do it, but if it's all'a august, I'm probably going to end up with a few several hundred dead. Full chardumps would get lengthy... but if the deaths roll in as I imagine they will, even Name/Combo/death will probably hit the limit a few times. Thinking about just making four-five posts, reserving the excess, and editing them as I run out of character limit. Any other suggestions? Maybe a daily dead report?
