Just looked at the wiki for the food values, and apparently 1 potion = 40 food.

edit : and just noticed that vampiric weapons can actually be used for food

Weapons of vampiricism
    Hitting a (non-summoned) living monster with a weapon of vampiricism (or Vampire's Tooth) has a 80% chance to increase your satiation by a random amount between 1 and 59.

Usually, i always rejected any vampiric weapons i identified because i remembered having read that those weapons were actually giving more hunger while being wieled.
And from what i read this was changed in 0.6.x the hunger penalty while wielding was removed, making those weapons awesome.

Yeah, but to wield a vampiric weapon now requires being full and it instantly makes you hungry.

Finally got a rune, this took way too long to do. Combined with the ghost and unique kills that this game has been racking up, wouldn't shock me if Blacksmiths jumps up a rank or two. Now, let's go die horribly in the Vaults, I guess, since I'm not going into Shoals just yet. I could also take a shortcut into Hell, but I doubt that would work out to my advantage.

Me, i tried continuing the MeCr from the other day who got a decaying rune. I am kinda stuck in the mid-lower levels of the dungeon, coz of successively difficult levels containing Nikola, A dragon, and various hard hitting folks such as orc knights, cyclops etc. I could probably take each one of the individually with berserk rage, but, if i do that in the current situation, i am sure to die to being slowed in the middle of a group of enemies.

Think i am gonna give it a rest and play some other time when i can think a bit more. It's not fun seeing your hitpoints in the red for almost all the time i played today...burned all my consumables, wands and such like in getting away (i think less than 10 hp while getting away from a dragon. His fire bolt would have got me if it hit me, before i ran away)

By the way, Woot!!! Blacksmiths are now no. 10!!! followed by champions at 9

I love how all three ongoing games for the Blacksmiths are of Merfolk. Of those, two of them are Crusaders worshipping Okawaru. Doesn't that just kind of tell you something about how balanced Okawaru, Merfolk, and Crusaders all are?

Nothing compared to SpEns of Nemelex That's had me bottom on th'dungeon, when most of my doods don't even survive 'till lair.

Really, though, it's th'whole guaranteed decent loot thing. I've already had dudes get down to like d:15 or lower without finding a single artifact anything, and ol' Oky'll be giving them to you not terribly far in. Oky's might innit bad, either, though the haste is kinda' redundant (other than potentially early access) on a crusader.

Never really seen what Merfolk's got going for 'em, though, 'cept the whole water thing. Aptitudes look good, now that I look at 'em -- HP progression, too. Crusader's book is pretty boss, though -- non Trog Berserk, regen (huge), repel missiles (huge), haste (huge), potentially useful brands... it's a solid starting book.

It's nice to see two of our teams in the top 10 again. My MfTm is doing pretty well, but I'm taking too long to finish. I knew I shouldn't have started editing the wiki again.

I was looking at the monsters scores and was surprised to see that the majority of the kills from centaurs were melee kills.
Apparently on the 290 characters the centaurs killed, only 8 fell from their arrows (at least 2 of my characters were killed by centaur arrow)

Sigmund is always the most lethal unique in this tournament, with currently 593 characters killed.
But he's a joke in front of the mighty Hobgoblins that have destroyed 3600 characters in this tournament.

Oh man. Team Kiku, the team leading the tournament, apparently decided to take the 200 points for the clan combo scores. They already lead us by 10 and they have only a few scores under 2000 points. Bringing them down would require colossal effort, so let's try keeping the second place and get points from other sources instead. I'll have a second try at SpEn, hoping to get a few new runes and uniques (Shoals turning up would be great).

The Blacksmiths keep going back and forth through places 10.-14., It'd be amazing if we managed to stop the pendulum at 10 when the tournament ends.

Just cleared out Crypt... using only Throw Icicle. It wasn't that bad, actually, since the end vault was full of easy vampires and dancing weapons. The Zot traps did more damage than the enemies.

And what's my reward? Why, a buttload of experience, of course! Why would there be good loot in Crypt:5?

and I want to know which armor I should wear because I have my current set that puts me at AC 14 and EV 21 but I also have some armor that give me cold resistance 1 but puts me at AC 15 and EV 17. My current goal is clearing out Orc and the only current resistance I have is fire 1. Any other advice is appreciated.

You're probably better off with the leather armor in Orc since most of the casters use fire spells anyways. And in any case, the EV will help out more in avoiding damage.

Sounds like some good advice and I just noticed that, SIGH... someone else already pumped the combo score up on it. Still going with it but I guess that's what I get for choosing the lowest combo score. They made it to level 15 so I guess I just have to beat that right? That should be no problem barring the fact I never breached 13 RIGHT! Right? right...

and I died. Mostly just because Nergalle paralyzed me then spammed summons, at the least I killed Nergalle before I died!

Killed finally my 50th ghost, but those ones were hard as they got poison and confusion spells, and convenientely i have not found yet anything giving any kind of resistance to this.

In this run, my character just reached Lair, but has fought 4 ghosts before arriving there.
It is rare i meet so many ghosts in such relatively few time.

And currently i am under Fedhas penance, apparently he did not appreciated that when a ghost confused me i shot down one of my wandering mushroom...
I hope it will disappear quickly, i begin to miss my mushroom army.

I can't really tell, heh. Certain forms clearly favor strength, but it doesn't really seem to say for the base attacks. Iirc, th'wiki suggests there's a slight dex weighting, but trolls and junk can do fine just pumping the crap out of strength and clawing things to pieces, so I dunno.
