TBS/RPG: Majesty Meets Lego. Last updated: 5/9
« on: July 17, 2010, 03:34:31 pm »

It has been a while since I hosted a TBS, so here goes.

Quote
In a land far, far away, where the plains are divided in tiles and people move once every day, and where troops and monsters are color-coded for convenience, there are two kings, each on their own castle. These kings, however, are not as happy as one would expect. For starters, there are monsters outside. Many monsters. Treasures, ancient ruins, sure, but also monsters. More monsters than the palace guard could ever kill. And as if that was not enough, their kingdom is one and the same. And that is why they have called upon their Heroes.

Heroes are hard to handle, since they have their own will, unlike the grunt guards the kings rely on. But heroes are also worth much more than guards. But while they will fight in far-off tiles and fell the most savage beast for the right amount of gold, they can just as quickly turn around and join the opponent if the price is right.

This game has two types of players: kings and heroes. The kings have to bribe the heroes, build buildings for them, and get taxes, and generally try to do so better than their opponent. The heroes do what they want, accept gold and quests from whom they want, and buy what they want from whichever building they want. Their goal is to be the awesomest hero ever. I will require 2 kings, and at least 4 heroes to play.

Agreed. You are a bit too close for comfort to me.

What happens now? Do the kings claim their colors as the heroes flock to the kings?

I'll wander over to Diablous' castle and bother him about the right for his peasants to peaceably assemble, and to petition the king for a redress of grievances.
