Gold:There is one important statistic for a king: his treasury. A king starts with a thousand gold coins, and gives those away to build and bribe. He gets more trough taxes.
Building:The king can build buildings next to any tile that has a building belonging to that king. An exception is the guard tower, which can be built in any open, explored tile (but not next to the buildings of another king). You can build two different buildings each turn.
Types of buildings currently discovered:
- Keep. Can not be bought. Has 3 HP. 100 gold in taxes every turn.
- House. Costs 250. Has 1 HP. 50 gold in taxes every turn.
- Workshop. Costs 250. Allows recruiting of peasant heroes.
- Market. Costs 500. Sells consumables to heroes. 50% of selling price goes to taxes.
- Chapel. Costs 500. Allows kings to reclaim the gold of fallen heroes (depending on which castle was closest).
.
- Smithy. Costs 1000 and a workshop. Allows the market to research weapons. Still counts as a workshop for hero creation.
(The blue king will have these with a blue roof, obviously.)
Bounties:The king can also place bounties, whenever he wants, where he wants, and how much he wants. There are three types of bounties: Explore, Attack, and Defend.
Explore bounties are placed on any unexplored tile. The first hero to reach that tile, gets the bounty. If multiple heroes reach the tile on the same turn, the bounty is divided evenly.
Attack bounties are placed on monsters or opponents. The hero that kills the enemy tagged by the bounty gets it. If a hero damages the enemy, but it doesn't die, he gets nothing and the bounty stays on it. If an enemy succumbs to several attacks in a single turn, the bounty is divivded evenly among the participating heroes.
Defend bounties are placed on own buildings. If a hero is in the same tile as the building, and it is not damaged, the hero gets the bounty. Multiple heroes share the bounty evenly.
Contracts:Kings and Heroes, Kings between each other, and heroes between each other, can, apart from bounties, trade any kind of resources or make contracts. This includes trade of gold, items, favors, buildings, quests, and "I'll attack you if you don't". If you make these contracts via PM (because you want them to be secret), send me a copy.
It is recommended that Kings also read the rules for Heroes (and vice versa).
