Nirur Torir bravely challenges the ferocious critter to a duel to the death! Once more, his shovel strikes only ground as the scurvy rat proves his agility and dodges the blow! The rat, however, still stands no chance against the strong worker boots. Fate is not kind to Nirur, as he hits nothing but air on his next attemp to sqaush the rat. The rat still fruitlessly gnaws Nirurs' toes. And again, Nirur misses, as if the gods are playing games with him. The rat breaks a tooth on the boot, and while the vermin is still confused, the spade finally hits it square in the face. After a long and oddly hard fight, Nirur stands victorious! Nirur gains one XP and goes up a level! Nirur now has 60% chance to hit!
SHADOWdump ventures south, and still drunk of happiness for his bar of gold, doesn't notice the huge spider crawling up his leg. When he feels something itchy, he looks down, and sees the insect looking at him with a gaze of pure evil. Distraught, he misses the spider with his stick. The spider bites, but the bite doesn't even get trough the thick cloth pants.
Dragnar explores the south. He finds himself facing the same rat Nirur Torir fought! Well, the same kind. It is obviously another rat. As opposed to Nirur, however, Dragnar sends the rat flying with one mighty swing! Dragnar gains one XP and goes up a level! Dragnar now has 60% chance to hit!
IronyOwl attempts to climb out of the hole, but luck is still not with him, and he falls back in.
Nevyn decides he has to knock the blue king out cold, and starts his journey northwards. He barely keeps his balance on the keep.
Ochita is not willing to fight like Nevyn, and turns west. He finds nothing, empty plains only, but at nightfall he bumps into a weirdlooking fella. It is only hours after they apologized and each continued their own way, that Ochita realizes he is missing his purse. At least he still has the 5 gold pieces hidden in his sock, and his new bounty.

Jopax, adventurous as he is, leaves the known world behind him and goes north. But north is as boring as the rest of the kingdom, for now.
PS: I know a spider is not an insect. The peasant, however, doesn't.
PPS: That weird gray with red near Dragnar is a flying rat. Don't you dare tell me you would do better
