Well, I'm kinda dumb and haven't played Arcanum in ages.  Looking at the map again, it was almost certainly traveling from Roseborough to Tarant, hence the matchbook.  Although I don't think this is ever actually said in-game, and all the other descriptions just suggested the airship traveling from whatever distant part of the world any particular pre-made character hailed from.

Still doesn't explain why there's just the one.  And no steam-powered ships for that matter.

I went to query the 'Where did the Zephyr' question on the Terra-Arcanum forums, and it turns out somebody already asked over a week ago!

Debate over whether it is Caladon or Roseborough, but Caladon seems more likely because of, you know, land travel.

They probably flew over the mountains to avoid the technophobic Dernholm.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

Did anyone mention Super Mario Bros 3 yet?
Doesn't look like it. Only other reason I don't use flutes most the time playing the game (and why I love the last levels). I used to have savestates just to go through them.

If anyone wants to have a megaproject to compete against my Bloodfist, replicate these suckers.

Oh, and now that I have more time to myself again seeing as my job will not get in the way as much anymore, I'll see what I can do about making a PWYB AirBuccaneers meetup thread soon. And if you want a sample of what ABU is like, my livestream channel still has it playing in it's loop. I don't know if it's on-demand as well or not.
