If you shoot your self in a video feed you will not die. I was talking about how with too much use the char realize what is going on and then start to strike back. Look at what happened to the first guy.

I wonder why they havent used it for research purposes.

You could basically predict everything, shoot random SCPs, kill important people, and see what happens.

It comes through the screen and eats your face.

What happens if you shoot a video of SCP-682?
Most likely it just gets shot and angry. Do not try it because of the unknown powers of the affected things combined with 682 may be very very bad.

It takes control of all video cameras and then kills everyone in sight.

Not to be a party pooper, but I doubt it'll be so spectacular. Since the bullets are fairly average caliber (30 something? That's average, right?) they're most likely going to merely hurt 682 and leave him confused as to why he just got shot out of nowhere.

No, the gun allows those inside the screen to perceive the user after repeated use. Then 682 would adapt a way to kill the guy shooting it.

I figured it was just the star trek crew- that's generally their modus oparandairy.

Hm, an interesting test would be to see what someone who has no idea what to expect the characters to would see... for instance, will someone who walks up in the middle of star wars and shoots han without ever seeing the movie before or even knowing the characters get the same changes that a rabid fan would get if he shot han at the same moment?

I wonder where they'll get a D-class that's a star wars fan...

Can they? Shooting him once wouldn't do much though.

30c seems a little large for the average, aren't normal pistols and handguns like 12mm?

Not being able to find a comparison chart with my quick google check, it seems that 12mm is larger than 30.cal. 12mm pistols are just weak in comparison to larger firearms because pistols are naturally weak and inferior to long arms, which have reasonably similar calibres but vastly more propellant and time spent in the barrel to increase their power.

Still, no pistol is ever going to hurt 682, unless it's some sort of nuke launching pistol or is more paranormal magic than he.

edit: yeah, found something: http://www.ehow.com/how_5076421_convert-caliber-millimeters.html

.30x25.4 = 7.62mm
