does anyone think think this would be a good movie/tv show?

I'm pretty sure there was an animated... thing... somewhere. I remember all of about nothing about it though, except that it was on youtube.

Maybe someone with Uber-l33t writing skills could script a pilot...

I think this would work really well as a web series. You could just film some of the interviews, or experiment logs, cut in some secuity cam footage or whatever is needed. It'd be quite cheap to make really, depending on which object you were focusing on, and the cheapness would work towards the documented experiment vibe.

Some of them would be impossible to do really without some SFX or CGI wizardry. Unless you avoided showing the actual object itself, and just concentrated on the scientists, class Ds and agents. You could even just throw up a black screen with text saying "[Data expunged]" whenever a creature would be shown onscreen.

Yeah, I've been thinking about this a lot since I started reading the site. :P

I think some of my favorites are the quirky mundane items. Not the "Box of Ineffable Doom" kind of ones, just the ones that are a bit odd. Like SCP-568, SCP-249 and SCP-649 (which for some reason I really like).

You could also do it animated. Animation is probably a good choice for drawing Things That Must Not Be Known. That thing I remember seeing was animated...

EDIT:

Found it.

Not very good though...

WHY DID YOU HAVE ME KICK THEM WTF I DID NOT WANT TO BE SHOT AT.
I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

I wouldn't enjoy it being animated, as that would reduce alot of the creepiness involved. Unless it was properly executed by the right artist, of course.

That said, the SCP foundation not only would make a good show, but many of the individual SCP's would make excellent individual movies.

In particular:

would probably make a good movie.

not looking at that for scariness reasons, but 455 and 682 would DEFINITELY be good movies.

Weird things crawl out of it, the pool is growing, and an exploration into it was logged with the Foundation. Said exploration never took place, to the Foundation's knowlage.
