It all makes more sence if you read the GOC site's articles.

I'm starting to get the feeling that you don't like anything about the SCP Foundation. I assure you, mary sues are the last thing any of them want. There is a literal rule known as "The Able Line" for just that reason. Why you don't like Duke 'Till Dawn is unknown to me.

I absolutely love the creepy scientific reports and mission logs, and the way they set up this bureaucraticly run secret paranormal institution. All the different objects and beings and how they interact with each other make it great, but the way it's written is a huge draw for me. Things like the blacked out text and [report redacted] used well really sell me on the mythos of it.

Some super badass scientist pouring cats piss on a vampire not so much.

I think I've been soured on that character because I read about 5 articles last night that referenced how awesome he is because he plays by his own rules and gets away with it, which to me really doesn't fit with what I enjoy from the rest of the site.

As far as I know Dr. K was just a normal human; if otherwise it would be more believable to me. Unless he was using one of those reality-changing SPCs

There's another, linked story in which, during the killing of some powerful psychic guy (ANOTHER story I didn't particularily enjoy), this Dr Clef is stated to be one himself. So yeah, I think he's deeply into Mary Sue grounds.

Ah no not really it went like this:

Dr. C: I am a SPC you know?
Other guy: Really? Wow!... wait... you are shiting me.
Dr. C: Haha ya but I almost had you.

999's experiment log made me laugh.

I'm surprised SCP-666 has nothing to do with Satan. Someone must have foresaw that inevitability and postponed it until their thing is deleted...

And you know it will be. There are about 10,100 people outside my office right now trying to get me to delete it. How the hell did they get in here? Security is so lax nowadays.

If you think that's crazy, try SCP-616. That one is covered in satanic markings, because 616 is the real Number Of The Beast. Just remember to read it untill the end...

I still want to know what happens when Able fights 682.
That would be awesome.
I didn't think so. Just because it was exactly as expected.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

I love useless trivia, don't you? Did you know that the Russian government changed the name of a bus route (which was believed to be cursed) from 666 to 616?

I noted that a good deal of the mysterious SCPs are in Russia. The Flesh That Hates, The Giant Tunnel System. Seriously, just search for russia in their search engine.

Alright, I'm a big fan of the SCP foundation. It just troubles me that my overactive imagination causes me to be stricken with paranoia and anxiety for days after binging on some of the articles.

I tried to become a member of the site (and thus make myself eligible to contribute to the site) and I had to participate in this BIZARRE formalized aptitude test that was monitored by the site's creator himself, and I failed. He specified that I had to wait an entire week before I was allowed to attempt to register again, but I just didn't bother.

Yeah, the Foundation is serious about thining out poteintal fools and trolls from their ranks. To the point where the site will likely fall due to the higher ups imposing insane anti-troll mesures that get rid of legitimate users. Autoban contitons, pre-post mod review, secret rules, and the like. More than one site has had bad things happen to it due to such an attitude. I don't think the Fishmonger's recent actions will help much to prevent such a fate. It might not happen, but I certianly fear it.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.
