Wow, I went this long without finding out about this: "Mass Edit"

It seems that the Fishmonger's apparent forum trolling got him banned, and he then demanded all his material be removed from the wiki, under pain of legal action. That... that's really sad.
Yeah. It is.

Wow, really? Can you do that, legitimately? Or did he just scare them into submission?

What'd the site lose?

The site lost alot. This guy had been a member for a long time, and it left a lot of holes, mostly in co-written stories or those using his characters. This also gave them the time to get rid of the new batch of Able Line crossers, but that hasn't helped much.

Duke till dawn is the wost thing I've read on the site so far. Doesn't really seem to fit with how the rest of the wiki presents itself.

I disliked "Duke till Dawn" too. Too... silly. Or something.  But, to be fair, I dont like a good deal of the in-site stories, so it might well be a matter of different tastes.

PD: Just curious, and a bit off-topic: does anyone else enjoy reading forum fight logs?

I read it a fair amount.
I believe Strife has too, and a few times when we were bored waiting for Squeegy we did a 2nd rate roleplay.

Now a challenge.
Someone come up with a way to kill 682, but if the next person finds away to logically disprove it they could suggest something else.
I say we introduce some of the extremely disliked GOC agents to it.

The beverage dispenser can dispense "something that will kill 682" but the problem is it turned the facility housing it into a molten crater with the dispenser sitting in the middle. There are also a few other SPCs that could theoretically destroy it but they hesitate to try for the same reason usually.

I thought Duke till Dawn was amusing, but 682 would have been able to squish him I would think. That's the point where the story got a little silly. As far as I know Dr. K was just a normal human; if otherwise it would be more believable to me. Unless he was using one of those reality-changing SPCs somehow. I suppose 682 escaping would be one of those events that a reality-changer would effect for their own personal safety so they'd only have to tell a reality changer that if 682 ever escaped then they would be at risk maybe.

Here is a possible solution: http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-999

Also, I understand the "greater good" of what they are doing in the universe portrayed, but their casual disregard for individual human life is sort of repugnant to me.

There's another, linked story in which, during the killing of some powerful psychic guy (ANOTHER story I didn't particularily enjoy), this Dr Clef is stated to be one himself. So yeah, I think he's deeply into Mary Sue grounds.

Yeah, I read that one too. I kept feeling bad for the reality changers though, especially that one they took to the moon and vacuumed, for using his powers to get laid. It seems like Clef allowed his self-hate to get the better of himself and instead of trying to educate someone with powers like his own, he decided it would be easier to kill him.

Also, the reason they killed the Duke or whatever was because it was getting very expensive to procure virgin blood as far as I can tell. Duke even had helped to contain other immortal, regenerating SPCs from escaping n the past.

You all should check out the Global Occult Coalition. They are a Foundation rival that seeks to defend the world by destroying Parathreats, things that the Foundation would designate SCPs. The site is still under construction, but what is there is very good. Given what Procedure Pizzicato entails, I think they might even be better people than the Foundation. That doesn't say much, but it still counts.

This says pizzicato is a GOC idea. It sounds to me it could be self-fulfilled if they ever got a power hungry megalomaniac in charge.
