When Forsaken, Warhammer, and I (also Huesoo, but he left halfway through) beat the game for (my) first time, I was so excite. I was the tech, doing the algorithm-appearing puzzle that would activate the  nuke.

When I finished it and turned around the timer for detonation started and the two of them had ran off.

Alien Swarm got updated again. They fixed the crash to desktops.
WHAT?!? Damn. You should have told me...somehow. I would have given up my game of RotK8 for AS. Somebody had said they were releasing a second patch today, but I forgot.

I'll try it out tomorrow. But from news:

I'm pretty sure that means they fixed the a bug that was only happening on certain graphics cards, not that the fixed the bug on some cards but not on others.  That's usually what it means.  I mean, I didn't have any crash bug.

I learned two things:
1. When your custom finale music track finishes playing, it doesn't load a new track afterwards. Just silence. Might be an issue for user created maps right now which rely solely on your custom music.
2. People don't appreciate it when you hang around outside the exit room waiting for your song to finish playing.

Actually. Don't use that one for now. I tried it and what happened was it removed all music from my game. I have no idea how to reenable music now. Going to do a fresh reinstall.

Something to consider: if you tell the game where to look for your (custom) music, it doesnt just play the files from there, no, it copies them over. Maybe it does some file conversion, too, I don't know, at any rate, it's weird.

I just wanted to try that feature and pointed it to my mp3 folder, which locked up the PC. But I had a hunch so I went and make a sammich, a pretty big one, heavy weapons guy would start drooling over it, it was that pretty. The whole sammich-creation-phase took about 15 minutes. When I came back, the PC was still locked, for about 2 minutes more, and then, voila, there was the music.

I wouldnt be surprised if using that console command while having a large collection could screw up things pretty bad.

Oh, and somehting else to add to the list of useful console commands:

Well, i can run it without it crashing now it's been patched. I lag on the elevator. But its cool because it just looks like slo-mo in offline practise.

Concerned about online play, but I tried anyway. Couldn't connect to anything.
