256 players! Holy shit. How bad would the lag be with that many players?

The lag is usually fine but goes nuts when you're playing on a Euro/Asian/Aus server (from US).

It's all handled server side. It's not like the game's being hosted on a residential user's machine

Even if it isn't, that's a lot of objects and stuff to track all at once.

Suikoden II. I harp on about it on the Wrestlecrap boards but it's truly one of the greatest RPG's of all time. Now, if only Konami re-released it as a digital download or with the PSP release outside of Japan.

Kotor, Battlefront 2 and AoE 2. Fallout 3 is also close, so is Total War.

The Marathon series are some of the best games I've ever played.  Good gameplay, terrific storyline, good (for the time) graphics, challenging enemies, interesting levels.  Great stuff.  Really wish Bungie would have done more with that, instead of all the Halo stuff.

I also thoroughly enjoyed Clive Barker's Undying.

MechWarrior II was great as well...  Some of the newer MechWarrior games are good, too, but they don't have marauders anymore.

Yes. It was great fun, except when I played it I was just a stupid child who knew nothing, so I never really got anywhere.

(Granted, it's the fugly Inner Sphere Marauder II...  Not the classic Marauder, or the sleek Marauder IIc...  But, it's a Maurader none the less!)

Yeah its free to download. Though I have no idea if they fixed their downloader yet. You can always use bittorrent client if MTX won't work for you.

Holy shit, blast from the past. I do remember it too, it was actually pretty decent. At least as a little kid who didn't know what the hell he was doing.
