Multiplayer in CoD games isn't really fun out of splitscreen. Though Modern Warfare 1 was at least fun, two was a spotfest and I didn't bother with black ops.

I think the worst game I can remember playing, in my opinion... Probally Operation Body count.

Obviously stolen pasted over graphics, unbalanced gameplay, really silly parts like having to fight GIANT RATS. Terrible all around, especially if you consider that capstones earlier Corridor 7 is a flawed but playable and enjoyable FPS.

CoD Modern Warfare 1, CoD Modern Warfare 2, CoD World at War and CoD Black Ops.

They were fun for the 2 hours it took to finish them. I wanted a game that didn't feel like I found it on Newgrounds.

Black ops actually has rather fun multiplayer. Aside from the six year olds proclaiming that they are the shit, it's fun.

And the fact that matchmaking just plain doesn't work for some of us. And the fact that parties are STILL completely fucked up, even though Treyarch and IW (pre-firing) have had three games to fix their issues.

I've never been able to get past why the genre clings to engines that emulate the Warcraft 3 engine. DotA felt like it was awkwardly stuffed into the WC3 engine when it was just a mod, so I expected later additions in the genre to move onto bigger and better implementations.

The biggest problem with DotA is the community.  Otherwise I loved the game.  Nice team challenge.

I've only played DotA, not LoL or HoN or the other derivatives. But I assume it's because people just really love the faux-isometric perspective gaming and point n' click. I tend to not play MP games that are totally point 'n click driven. People always want to play the Tower Defense mod at LAN parties, and I'd just as soon flay myself with a melon peeler.

If they'd make one that really breaks away from the WC3 mod design, and starts doing its own thing I'd probably try it.
