Yeah, I sorta despise the WBC. I'm not alone in that.

Also, for those out there saying they make Christians look bad, they also make humanity look bad. Can you imagine what it would be like to be looked at from an outside opinion? "Holy shit, do these guys represent you?" "AAAAAH NONONONONOTATALLLLL".

Also, I agree with Nikov on basically everything he's said. Pathos, it's painfully obvious you're just looking for a flamewar now. You're throwing out accusations and namecalling without backing it up with anything substantial.

There's not really much to discuss about it. Just putting "church" in your topic makes it instantly flammable, even if it writes "Church donates medical supplies to war refugees".

I do notice that people just love to oppose popular entertainment that they don't like. Movie snobs hating video games. Senators opposing violence in music (but not the light violence in movies?). How many of us hate Twilight? These people are just finding a moral excuse to hate Superman.. and I bet the response on comic book forums are way angrier than the ones here.

This isn't a case of them not liking a form of new media. This is the Westboro Baptist (noticed you spelled that wrong, actually) Church. It does not matter what it is, it does not matter if it is a form of media. Somehow it is a sin and the entire world will burn for it because that's how God rolls.

I'd love to meet Jesus. Not even necessarily as a "Welcome to heaven, enjoy the booze" sort of deal. I'd just like to talk with the man Christians now worship, whether he is man or God, and just ask him "What do you think of the terrible things people have done in your name?"

Possibly, but I only put the topic here since I thought people would find it silly. I like to think of it as another chance to take a justified hit to Fred Phelps for that. He is something of an eyesore with all his ideas and methods. If anything though, I'm worried he might upset the more religious people going to those conventions, but it's odd how he assumes that comic books are replacing the bible.
