Highly coincidental artifact
« on: July 16, 2010, 08:10:39 am »

So, this is an otherwise low value and relatively boring artifact, but the last part of the description caught my eye and made me laugh:

(Sorry about the width, I'm too lazy to cut it down).

It has circles of granite and a picture of Tobul Granitecircles.

Tobul happens to be the current Queen of my Dwarven Civilisation, so the plan now is to get her to arrive so she can sit on the throne which was obviously designed for her and her alone.

The final irony in the story is that she shows up and her profile says "She absolutely detests granite".

Bravo. Bravo.

If she does, make her coffin out of granite.

sounds like something that would trigger her to lead a zombie dwarf army into your fortress after breaking free of what she hated...
just build a wall on the outside out of granite and she'll leave.

That's some serious Twilight Zone level stuff right there.

Dwarves can currently only hate vermin. Thus she may not "absolutely detest granite".

Granite with the [vermin] tag?

I welcome granite. It's one of the few rocks that can contain tin ore.

I'm just hoping there's another notable dwarf with a slightly more valuable name.
