Alton, you start with a perfectly serviceable JESTER'S OUTFIT, as well as a backpack with three COSTUMES of your choice.  You can declare these as you go along if you wish.  You also start with a handful of gemstones for bribery or trade.

Elian, you start with a CRYSTAL KNIFE, which is effective against spirit-based opponents where physical weapons are not.  You were given this by a member of Curio's tribe.  You have some bead necklaces for trade if need be.

Trun, you start with a COPPER AXE, beaten from native copper in the traditional way.  You also start with BOILED LEATHER ARMOUR and a SHIELD.  The armour will reduce your damage taken from attacks by 1, the shield will increase your defense against attacks by 1.  You have some PELTS for trade, as well as a few SNARES for trapping and a few ROCKS for stoning small creatures for food.

Riest, you start with a SPIKED BONE CLUB and a COPPER DAGGER, both of which you can wield at once, but no armour.  You also have VARIOUS HERBS that serve both medicinal and psychotropic purposes.  You possess three doses of DEATH'S BREW in a reed phial, which can be used as a poison or a powerful stimulant to induce a PRETERNATURAL RAGE (more powerful than your usual berserker rage) but has PENALTIES afterward.

Ner'run, you have no armour and only a BONE SHARD to serve as a weapon.  On the other hand, you also possess POWERFUL DARK MAGICS that you can bend to your will.  You are not sure what sort of TERRIBLE PRICE the use of this magic exacts upon you.  You possess several pieces of COPPER JEWELLERY stolen from the city of Steol.

Please keep note of your possessions.

Looking around Elian looked at his goods Not much, if I want to trade ill probably have to settle with the cheaper things a flash of inspiration hit him ..unless I make a show for the dwarfs!

Elian goes to the meeting area of this place and he attempts to put up a show but doing a story, a story where dwarfs find love, gold and axes. Do this with my light magic doing crude shapes also with some help from Alton to tell the story if needed. (Ill split the loot gained 50/50? Also other people this will be great for thieves *wink* *Wink*)

I use my magic to attempt to blend with shadows and pick some pockets of people watching the show.

I assist Elian with my FALSE BEARD, acting out his story in humorously exaggerated pantomime.

[Elian, PSYCH: 19, WAH: 16]

[Alton, TAC: 3, PSYCH: 13]

[Ner'run, WAH: 5, TAC: 1]

Elian delights and astounds the dwarves with his storytelling, fabricating a tale about seven dwarves who found a vein of the legendary mithril metal and survived dangerous trials by its guardians, earning much gold and ale.  He pulls off an impressive trick with his magic, creating the inverse of shadow puppetry with dwarf-like shapes in the air.  The dwarves are falling over each other to get him a drink of beer and food for him and his friends.

Alton, dressing up in a false beard and common dwarven clothing, is just smart and short enough to pass as a tall dwarf.  He trips over himself horribly while trying to pantomime, but wittily manages to save his grace by playing it up for laughs.  A dwarf promises to buy him a drink, humoured by his performance.

Ner'run, unseen by the crowd, weaves a cloak of shadow about himself and tries to pick pockets.  Unfortunately he is distracted by Alton's trip and the cloak of shadow unravels, just as he has a hand in a dwarf's pocket.  He panics when trying to remove it and not only jostles the pocket but smacks the dwarf in the face.  Ner'run finds himself confronted by a group of very angry-looking dwarves.

Eh? I hadn't realized you made this already. I'll reserve a spot in episode 2. I'll have the character sheet up in a moment.

Edit: could I play one of the Librarians? They're immaterial, but have telekinesis of varying strength.

I thank the good dwarf for the beer, and spend most of my time (that is, the time not spent drinking free beer), looking for a way to increase my physical stat.

Alton:  You do a few press-ups, to the cheering of the drunken dwarves, but you'll probably need to engage in more of a long-term exercise regime to improve your physical fitness.  Longer than this particular episode, at any rate.

Elian:  [WAH: 12]  You levitate a mug of beer and pour it over a dwarf.  Fortunately, the dwarf takes it in good humour and keeps his mouth open to drink it down.

The now both drunk and angry dwarves begin to advance on Ner'run.

The Plateworld is nothing special. It is inhabited by dwarves and elves. The elves were once taken from their homeworld, aether, by alex, a god. Alex then trapped both dwarves and elves in so called "Altars" big structures, who produced everything they needed to survive yet left them in total darkness and isolation. He did so to protect them.

He died in battle against the great enemy, astra`ath, though, and the elves and dwarves were forgotten till Gheronaton, the God of War, honor and disasters, freed them. The Elves and Dwarves of the Plate World now mainly worship him.

Rundown of the History of the Plate World, IIRC.

Shortly before Ner'run is set upon by an angry mob, a dwarf arrives to escort the five of you into a greeting chamber in the large cavern with the facade.  The inside is largely bare save for several stone benches and tables - the cave doubles as seat of government and meadhall for this small village.  The seat of government itself is a simple stone slab with a back, upon which sits a rather troubled looking grey-bearded dwarf.  In addition to his plain clothes, he wears a bright copper chain and a copper medallion inlaid with gold to mark his status.  A copper battleaxe rests against the edge of the throne, and the dwarf is wearing two engraved copper bracers.  He beckons the five of you to approach him and the doors seal shut behind you, mercifully keeping the crowd away from Ner'run.

"My name is Urist Cleavewoods," the dwarf explains, "and I rule this tribe.  I have called you to me because I require your aid.  As you must have seen on your way here, this village starves.  We had thought we had a few months left of forage, but the gods decreed otherwise and the forest burned away our provender.  Your task will be to secure a source of food for my people, but before we get into that, let us talk of legend."  The dwarf shifts uneasily on his seat for a moment, then fixes his gaze on Elian.

"You there, human.  What is your name?  And the names of your companions?  My foreman tells me you have been telling stories amidst our break in the toil of mining.  Would you tell me this story now?  Tell me a story, human, of mithril."

Well, all the Elves actually emigrated when Luna offered them amnesty to return to Aether, so only the Dwarves live there.

Also, you aren't actually on the Plateworld yet.  You're still on the ringworld of Aether - but you'll be headed to the Plateworld soon enough.
