Version .20 is up on DFFD, including the .19 update I never actually got around to.

- Improved prefstrings, biomes, color settings and raw formats for plants
- Fixed a few seed edibility problems
- Flower fragrances and similar extracts now use glass vials instead of barrels
- Red Jute leaves now edible when cooked
- Added juice and vegetable cheese templates to prepare for future plant extracts
- Inappropriate plants should no longer appear under the ocean surface
- Diversified [WET] and [DRY] placement for plants
- Changed edibility of certain plant products like bean pastes
- Changed many plant display names
- Adjusted edibility of legumes and their seeds
- Revised extract values (Shroom Oil now properly worth 10 rather than 100)
- Rice flour now displays as white instead of brown
- Grain or herb-based oils now use PLANT_OIL_TEMPLATE

- Tree ferns no longer produce logs when cut down

- Moved mints to plant_herb_ff.txt from plant_flower_ff.txt
- Fixed missing soy bean name (mistakenly overwritten when oil pressing stuff was added)

- Corrected barrel cactus seed name, now extracts water to barrel at farmer's workshop
- Many plants migrated into standard raw files from plant_extra_ff.txt

- Removed extra breadfruit tree from plant_extra_ff.txt (no idea how that got there)

- Giant Hornets now have proper tiles
- Fixed displayed color and max age of Black Caimans
- Gharials no longer [LARGE_PREDATOR] since their jaws are too fragile to threaten large animals
- Resized zoo reptiles according to vanilla DF reptiles
- Fixed missing reptile egg and clutch sizes
- Fixed maturity rate, description, max age, display tile and habitat of Giant Monitor (Komodo Dragon) and added poisonous bite
- Grave Cats adopt owners again, edited prefstring

Thanks for bringing the manticore speech thing to my attention, I dunno how that escaped notice so long.
IIRC; the unbracketed stuff would cause problems, but they should no longer be an issue. A lot of stuff has changed so I'm assuming this update needs a world gen.
