I use mods, but I don't use graphics sets. Now that I'm used to the ASCII, they actually confuse me.

Here's a question for all you square people... Is the text more difficult to read? I've considered switching so things would be prettier, but I don't want the words to be distorted.

Currently playing with default for the first time since starting off with Mayday's pack a few months ago.  Kinda hurts my eyes.

Might be a good idea to make it a little bigger, perhaps.

I just stick with vanilla graphics. I know what everything is and I don't mind the rectangles.

I had a go at playing Kobold Camp the other day, which comes with tile set configured.  I found it very confusing - little tiny sprites are very hard for me to make out and differentitate.  Much better to just loo[k] at and find out if it's a Horse or a Hippo, for me.

Mind you, I've tried one of the new (natural) colour-schemes that are up on the WIKI and am finding that quite pleasant.

I play with either default tiles or the Nostalgia tiles.  ASCII is strangely evocative.

I'm currently using the Haowan ASCII set. It's just the default set, but enlarged to 1440x450. It doesn't feel right to not have ASCII in DF.

I use a slightly modified version of Inquisitor Saturn's 16x24 tileset.  It retains all of the text characters of the original set, and in fact has the most readable text I've seen in this game.  I didn't like a few things about it, e.g. I made his fish/meat tile a bit less fishy, but in most cases it follows curses_643x300 rather well, but in double-size.

i actually find it a lot harder to recognize whats going on with graphic sets.

i prefer ascii all the way. though i do appreciate some tilesets that stay true to ascii as much as possible.

someone made a anti-aliased tile set for the last version before df2010. that was really pretty.
