Never, ever, EVER give your enemies better weapons just to make fighting them more fun. Always ends in tragedy.

If dwarves decided to live in trees like hippies, they'd still do it better than the elves.

Elves have SO much potential to be warriors, have you seen what they do in wars?

Die by the dozens hundreds?

Overnight Almost instantly?

I like it whenever I see stuff drop +10 z levels downwards and splatter into a bloody mess, whether it be refuse, pets, goblins, or even my own dwarves.

I love it when your adventurer becomes so infamous that her image appears in engravings.

Case in point: my current adventurer is in the process of genociding the elves. I found a masterwork bow with her image on it. I was awed by the depth of the game.

I like to think the elves carved her visage into the wood in order to gain her strength in battle.

(Of course, I'm a dirty rotten cheater, so my adventurer has all Superdwarvenly Attributes and [SPEED:1])

I'm currently making a nice room for my legendary clerk. I always treat my legendaries with the greatest respect, giving them the best rooms and so on. Although the walls are mostly engraved with pictures of my miner starving to death after he fell down a well, so it's not too cheerful.

That means you can literally flash step up to an elf and cut him to little pieces before he can blink.
