What seems like the worst instrument to march with to me is the trombone. It's even heavier than the Baritone....

The easiest would be the piccolo (The Pit isn't marching D=<)

What seems like the worst instrument to march with to me is the trombone. It's even heavier than the Baritone....

From my experience, it's actually one of the easiest. Unless you've got a bass trombone, they're one of the lighter instruments. Bass trombones are mainly weighted at the back, though, for easier shoulder carrying.

I've gotten good with Fruity Loops music making software. I've taught myself over the past 7 years as a hobby. Now I'm practicing playing the keyboard as a live instrument instead of designing a song like sheet music (sort of). The advantage of this instrument, which is Portable Laptop Computer, is that of generalization. I can play every instrument known to man once I have a recording of it, and invent my own with synthesizers and various ways to edit sound. The downside is that by generalizing I can never match a master in a given instrument that they specialize in (yet, as I don't consider myself a Master of my own as of this point)  Anyways though, I'll give an example in guitar format. EDIT3: This isn't me playing live, it's a "designed" song for a lack of a better word.

I wanted to take classes related to it, but they only had things related to traditional music and sound for theater, etc. What would be sweet is if I could teach it as an alumni and that figures into my plot as well.

Yes, though I haven't been at it recently. Basically everything there is digitally done because I've never been happy with my live recording quality, but I do have quite a lot of acoustic guitar songs written.

I've some practice. In fact, a friend and I are working on a composition of Moskau (by Dschinghis Khan) for a wind ensemble. We're going to surprise our director all to heck and back when we play that piece instead of the Seventeen Come Sunday march at the Spring concert. (They have the same time signature, so it'll work out.)
