Recruit won't equip crossbow

Hello. :) I've been trying to get a recruit to equip a crossbow and some bolts, but he just won't do it. I have an arsenal dwarf assigned, and he's in his office, doing nothing. There is a crossbow in the weapons stockpile, and the dwarf was told to equip it.





I have no idea what's going on. Help please. Thanks! :D

Hmm, if you're playing the latest version, it doesn't use the arsenal dwarf anymore. Try taking the dwarf out of the arsenal dwarf slot and see what happens.

Also, I think dwarves properly equipping military equipment is bugged to hell right now.

:/ Is there any way I could get this to work? I tried leaving the Arsenal Dwarf position vacant, but the situation didn't change.

ur not using the latest version if their is even an arsenal dwarf position listed

That looks like the tileset that comes with deons wasteland mod, so he'd be on .08 at best i think? the squad screen indicates he has it marked as "his", I can only suggest try taking it off his list, leaving it a little bit, then putting it back on again.

also make sure u have quivers and bolts. But ya id guess an update might fix it as well

Okay! Upon updating, everything worked instantly. I loaded the savegame, and the recruit instantly walked over to the stockpile and picked up his crossbow. Thanks, guys! :D
