Is there anyway to make the hobgoblins always hostile, like goblins are in Vanilla? Right now, despite their entire caravan being killed every time they show up, they keep sending caravans 4x a year, filled to the brim with leather that inexplicably isn't in bins.

I'll be trying to do that in the near future, yes. I have an idea what'll do it, but I feel that it'd have to remove them from the list of those races viable for adventure mode, due to other concerns.
I believe [LOCAL_BANDITRY] will be the problematic token, there, and I have placed a bug report regarding it. However it won't be until we have another release that I'll be able to know whether the issue has been fixed.

Currently I can't spend a lot of time looking at a computer screen, so I'll try and fix it up (albeit removing them as adventure mode options) for another release.

As for the current updates of things, I'm pleased to see the eggs and wool will become available. That'll be quite wonderful, given all the chickens. It'll also make a henhouse a pretty reasonable source of food.
I'm starting to become concerned at the ease with which it'll be possible to raise food. It's still quite easy to start a very prolific farm, and to gather the plants to supplement it if you want your dwarves to have an all vegetable diet. It's also very easy to raise vast numbers of animals to butcher.

In other news: my fishing elf just caught a raw giant gray panther. I did not expect those to be hiding out in my murky pool :).
Great work on the mod btw, looking forward to updates.

Get it together and start mining for panthers now!!!

!!Elves!! would actually be kinda cool as a civ symbol.  !!Clowns!!, however, you get the impression they're on fire of their own free, malicious, evil, will.

Also, much scarier if literally clowns.

Captain Mayday, this is amazing!

I just want to thank you for how much work you have done and how much it has improved my DF experience.  I've been using your tilesets since 40d, and they really are impressive.

Also, for data sake, my accomplished herbalist in a mixed wilderness/joyous wilds biome is only harvesting "mangrove" for what it's worth.

I can confirm the mangrove herb thing, this time in an evil biome. My herbalist seems to harvest quite a few of them, but they are not put in the food stockpile like other herbs ( I managed to find one brass berry, that is properly stored).

I can honestly say that I have no idea why that's happening.
Neither the Mangrove nor the herbs show anything that would confuse the two.

I'm mainly holding out on Toady releasing with eggs and such before I make another release of LL. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

I've searched through the LL object files, but I did not find the llama creature. I guess this was not one of the creatures imported from Chariot's Zoo Mod.

Were llamas intentionally left out due to their exotic nature? Also, are there any plans to convert more creatures from Chariot's Zoo Mod into VBASE format?

(I'm asking about llamas in particular because, strangely, I'm having a very hard time finding a recent [i.e., for 0.31.18] mod that includes them.)

I mainly felt that they didn't really add enough to carry them across. I could always convert more... it isn't hard but it is time consuming.

Dunno if this is a known bug but Celestium (and likely other custom stones) is simply showing up as a "Stone" wall/floor, although mining it does produce Celestium nuggets.

It certainly is a bug. I've fixed it for the next release.

You've probably found them by now, and in any case the new version coming out in a few days (knock on wood) probably includes them, but Ironhand's graphics pack includes llamas.

... I just had a really weird bug. I tried starting a fortress, and whenever I tried to use the location finder, DF crashed. But I figured, okay, fine, I can deal with that, and ended up manually finding a nice quiet spot to settle. And then when I hit embark and went to prepare for the journey, my "Dwarves" were... forgotten beasts. Eyeless, six-legged crocodile forgotten beasts.

Oh, nevermind, I found my problem. I copied the directory wrong. Instead of outright replacing the raw/object folder, I just copied over it.

Interesting...
But when you said you "copied the directory wrong", were you referring to trying to install Legendary Lands?

It definitely was. Probably he didn't read a few posts above and didn't remove original files, which caused duplicate errors.
